    Hi Mike,

I last attempted p7 in March and failed at 40, decided to take a break and have considered attempting it once again in September along p4. Do you think it is a good idea and how do I improve my performance this time around? Will the lecture notes and revision kit suffice?

Lecture notes and revision kit? Well, it’s a good start! As a retake there should already be a reasonable basis from which to build so I would have thought that getting HEAVILY stuck into the revision kit was the order of the day

Read, read and read again – questions and answers – at least (bare minimum) 3 times through the revision kit and preferably at least once per week for the next 6 weeks

Check out the course notes for the updated chapter on the new audit report standard – this is not an option, it’s a MUST

I can’t estimate high enough the likelihood of this coming in the September exam!

Keep reading until mid-August and then post on this page again for the next instalment on advice about how to pass P7
