Just wanted to confirm I’m understanding the timing correctly.
So ACCA states that “If you have just become a member you need to ensure that you’re
participating in our CPD program from 1 January after you became a member”.
So I achieved membership on 23 Jan 2022. So for me the next 1 Jan would be 1 Jan 2023.
So my understanding is that I only need to start doing CPD for the calendar year 2023 and submit my first declaration on 1st January 2024 for the period (1 Jan – 31 Dec 2023)?
I am exempt from any CPD in 2022 since I achieved my membership after 1st of January

It’s not that your “exempt” – it simply doesn’t apply yet. When you go to renew your subscription for 2024 you will be prompted in myACCA to make your annual declaration.
