If there are equity shares of 25 cents each then when calculating the number of shares why would the share capital be multiplied by $1/25c i.e. multiplied by $1 and divided by 25c whilst the number of shares can be calculated by dividing by 25 c only. Is it correct to multiply by $1 and what is the reason for multiplying by $1
You don’t need to do the multiply by $1 as we know what the currency is. It is just being done to me mathematically correct.
