Hey guys,
I just wanted to start this new thread for us to discuss new membership applications with ACCA.
Please share your experience on processing timelines.
I just passed my last exam and already had my PER signed up and completed the Ethics module.
Applied for membership April 16th and tracking status says application received and that’s it.
Did anyone receive invitation to apply for membership already?
When is the next membership council meeting holding?
When are certificates expected to be issued?
What is your membership application status online?
Please share any helpful thoughts.Thanks

Council meeting held quarterly and i think now it will held in June-18 and then afterward membership certificate will be dispatch in next 3 months time period.
Received email from ACCA yesterday of congratulation for becoming ACCA member.April 19, 2018 at 11:17 pm #448200@zain13 said:

Congratulations! Do you have to pay the membership fee after you have submitted your application? No you don’t have to pay.
Once your application is approved, you’ll get an invoice in my ACCA to pay for the processing fee.My understanding is that membership fee is due in January like the usual annual subscription fee.
April 23, 2018 at 3:33 pm #448554Thank you!

Received email from ACCA yesterday of congratulation for becoming ACCA member.Wow congratulations!
So does that mean that once transferred to membership you can use ACCA after your name or do you need to wait for the council to meet?I keep checking the status of my application online and nothing has changed. I guess I am a little impatient and eager to be a member!
Did you get email from ACCA when you were transferred to membership?
April 27, 2018 at 11:37 am #449062I am now a member and this is the timeline for my application.
April 16th – submitted application
April 20th – application approved
April 27th – membership granted
April 30th – membership certificate to be sealedIt feels great and good luck to everyone. Don’t give up!

Yes you can use the letter ACCA next to your name now 🙂 Cheers.
May 3, 2018 at 11:09 am #449918Are you sure ACCA won’t need you to pay the membership fee after becoming a member?
I am failing to apply for membership cause I though if granted membership, ACCA will therefore request me to pay membership fee for 2018 regardless that I’ve already paid the Affiliate fee in January.
Kindly confirm.

If you have paid affiliate fee in january then u just need to pay ‘addmission to membership fee’ only. That is separate from ‘membership fee’
May 3, 2018 at 1:07 pm #449927I checked on ACCA website, admission to membership is GBP236 same amount is for membership subscription fee…which means, in my understanding, I will be like paying the membership fee.I don’t know the right time to pay the admission to membership fee so that I do not pay Affiliate fee in that same year.
GBP236 is too much to me.
May 4, 2018 at 1:15 pm #450063So back to the answer above. In regards to the membership fee, so even though the invoice says payment due in a month, one can still pay much more later while using the ACCA name after their name? Am I right or wrong. Thank you.
May 4, 2018 at 11:16 pm #450144May 18, 2018 at 8:21 pm #452749Hi guys, I applied for membership and got an email saying my application was approved. I logged on to the site today and my status has been changed from ‘graduate pending member’ to member, however, I have not received the email yet confirming membership was granted. Can I start celebrating or do I have to wait for that email confirmation?

May 31, 2018 at 4:15 pm #455120Hi
I passed my final exam on 16th April 2018 and today just had my final objective approved by my line manager.
I have got 36 months worth of practical experience and have completed the Professional Ethics Module.
What is the process for membership? do I just wait or do I need to apply? on the MY ACCA page nothing has changed apart from telling me what has been completed.
Thanks
June 1, 2018 at 1:40 am #455185Once you have fulfilled the requirements for membership you don’t have to wait for the invitation, you can apply when you are ready. I did not wait for the invitation
June 6, 2018 at 10:56 am #456881Right update
Applied on 5th June 2018 at 13:35pm
Received approval email today 6th June 2018
Member status to update 10 days after 30th June 2018
Certificate 12 weeks after thatSpoke a lady she said the £236 membership fee should be paid within one month of applying..i have an invoice in myacca online
A subscription fee would need paying come January 2019 roughly about £236
I can use the acca initials after my name once membee status is updated and before i pay the fee
Hope that info helps someone
June 6, 2018 at 10:58 am #456883As per my last message you will need to pay the application fee 1 month after applying and also the subscription in january
No point waiting until jan as you still need to pay two fees
July 30, 2018 at 4:39 pm #465283Just applied my membership today.. hopefully will hear back soon..
July 30, 2018 at 10:58 pm #465336Hi All.
Just wanting to check if anyone has actually received their membership certificates yet? I passed my exam in May – ACCA sealed the certificates at End May and then gave the standard ‘wait up to 12 weeks’. Just want to check to see if anyone has actually received theirs yet?
August 1, 2018 at 8:28 am #465501Did anyone get email about application received or the only email will get will be about application successful or not?
Just wonder if I did the application correctly now as didn’t hear anything back.
