Seems hit and miss, I applied the morning of the 13th and haven’t heard anything since. Still showing as affiliate.

Yeah it takes a while to complete unfortunately. I did it while waiting for the results to be released and it took me just over 20 hours in total.

I’d be careful about doing the exercises properly because it mentions they select some membership applications for extra checks to ensure all tasks have been completed sufficiently, such as the quality of answers given to tasks in the ethics module. You don’t have to spend much time on it though.

Same here, I received the acceptance email yesterday, paid my fees and then I was transferred to membership that evening when I logged into myACCA.

Looking through some of the older posts it does just seem to vary for some reason.

I’d guess you will receive acceptance either this afternoon or tomorrow. It will have just taken a little longer because I doubt they work over the weekend.

I had my application accepted on Thursday morning and was transferred to member by the same evening. Not received any further emails though like it said I would.

    Hi Peeps,
I got the acceptance mail yesterday from ACCA and was requested to make payment for the membership acceptance fee. I just want to know if my transfer to membership won’t be done if I did not make the payment yet? will nonpayment also affect the issuance of my certificate after the board sit by the end of the month? this is because I just paid for my affiliate subscription and additional payment being requested won’t be possible till later…..
I will appreciate a quick reply to this, please?

    thanks

    Adura

    Hi everyone,

I am just about to apply for membership. For those that got the congratulatory email, is the membership certificate number included (or anywhere else on myAcca)? I would need my membership certificate number for an online application and was wondering if I can get a hold of it before my physical certificate arrives in my mailbox.

    Thanks!

I was looking for that too. Applied only yesterday 14.04.20 and received no acknowledgement so not sure how to check for update. It is probably too soon to be expecting any changes so I will give it till Friday and if still nothing they can expect a call from me!

    Congrats!
I applied on the same date and received the ACCA membership acceptance email as well. They even congratulate me for becoming acca member. I am confused because that was too quick. Does the approval of our application mean we’re members or do they still look into our PERs and stuff before finally entering our names into register.

It says here that you can track your application https://www.accaglobal.com/ie/en/help/transfer.html#Where-can-I-check-the-progress-of-my-membership-application?- Also – admission is not immediate on receipt of the application – as it states here it is approximately 12 days. That’s because membership meetings are every 2 weeks. Again as it says – certificates are sealed only 4 times a year – so it could take up to 3 months to receive (if you just missed a council meeting.

Can someone please tell me what does ACCA membership acceptance email mean ? They approved my application and even congratulated me for becoming acca member but my Myacca account still shows me as an affiliate . I got the email on 16 April and nothing after that. Is it same with you too ? This is making me a little impatient now..

I am not really a substitute for ACCA but have made enquiries re myACCA access on behalf of those having difficulties.

    I have been advised:

“New affiliates should be able to access myACCA in the same way as they have in the past.
Anyone having problems accessing myACCA should go to https://www.accaglobal.com/gb/en/myacca/problems-logging-in.html and follows the steps on the page, including using the contact us link on the page if unable to resolve.”

Regarding membership acceptance e-mail if it’s not clear whether this is an acknowledgement of an application for membership or confirmation of membership I suggest you contact ACCA directly to request clarification of their communications. As I posted above, based on the timings of meetings I would not expect immediate confirmation of membership.

Hi all, I submitted my application on 27th April for membership and have had no response yet. Any ideas as to when I will roughly hear back? Thanks.

    Hi All,

Has anyone recently applied for membership? I submitted my application on 12 May and was given a time frame of 3 days to get a decision. Just wanted to check if ACCA are taking longer during the current situation? Also, is it just me or there is no application tracking available through myAcca?
