I talked about traditional view of striking a balance between debt and equity and keeping these at their lowest inorder to have WACC(Cost of capital) at its lowest, where the capital structure is at its lowest..threw in a few figures too lol

    Hello All!

    Good luck πŸ™‚

I think the MCQs were disaster compared to last sitting.

Other Qs were fair enough although was straggeling with Q4.

One q: what interest rate did you used in MCQ for Bamout model 4,5 or 1%?

    Thanks

Interest rate for Baumol should be the net rate so four per cent – I think it was four anyway, it’s all becoming a blur now!

Can’t now remember what the separate rates were but, yes, the answer would be based on the net figure.

Did anyone get the factoring question as a cost? Also for the 5th question I assumed that variable costs also should be inflated! Stupid me!

    Hi Guys

Anyone notices how well opentuition guessed the topics for exam.

    Section B – 5 questions:

    – Management of receivables

    – Valuation of business (using PE ratio, and using dividend valuation model)

    – Investment appraisal – NPV calculation (plus capital rationing)

    – WACC calculation (including CAPM)

    – Gearing (financial and operational)

If not great opportunity to take in September now for some even if its to get those extra few marks. Another 6 months to wait is a painful. Loving MCQ the less i waffle on the better! Good luck everyone. πŸ˜‰

My conclusion drawn from the two last sittings is that a student should read and understand the manual from page 1 to the last page.then multple choice will be your best friend.

They are not published the questions or answers to Section A for any of the exams. They have done F6 for this sitting as this is the first time in the new format for it but that’s all.

    Unfortunately.
