something around?
June 5, 2015 at 4:23 pm #253687MCQ’s I thought were ridiculously hard. I didn’t cover the syllabus well enough.
Q4 I messed up, the others were okay though.Whether I pass is how good my guessing has been on MCQ’s

I got 3900 something, think I messed my sales up.
FRA better by 700 got 310,000 something.
Factoring was worthwhile, big saving on finance cost as well as bad debts and admin.
June 5, 2015 at 4:25 pm #253690I got a benefit of 87000 smth, so the option was viable
June 5, 2015 at 4:25 pm #253691Hey James man! How ya doin? Remember me from F5? Now lets work on F9 😀
June 5, 2015 at 4:26 pm #253692Npv 40008 somewhere round there positive

The paper was seriously too long
June 5, 2015 at 4:28 pm #253696YES I GOT THAT IT WASNT VIABLE
IT WAS GOIN TO COST OVER A MILLION FOR THEM TO DO IT
June 5, 2015 at 4:29 pm #253697Sensitinity analysis wrote the definition and coupe of point on uncertainty and risk
June 5, 2015 at 4:29 pm #253698I got that it wasn’t viable, due to the 80% advance @ 2%
June 5, 2015 at 4:30 pm #253699So, my answers:
Question 1: accept forward, both of them were 310000 and smth, the difference was very small thought.
Question 2: using dividend, price was 9.71; using yield, price was 10.5 or smth like that
Question 3: factor was viable, benefit of 87000 and smth
Question 4 : my working were good, although i forgot to divide new earnings by increased number of shares, that was my only mistake
Question 5: npv was positive
June 5, 2015 at 4:30 pm #253700I just went on about how it varies between sales I.e if less than 5% really concerning! need to ensure accuracy and how they can use it efficiently etc, seemed a lot to write for 6 marks
June 5, 2015 at 4:31 pm #253701James, on sensitivty, i just gave its definition 😀 thats what they asked 😀
June 5, 2015 at 4:32 pm #253702For the company it would cost over a million to do it.messed up the finance saving of the factor though. Took the receivables the company x 80 x 9 and x20 x 7

Seems as though you’ve got it!
Q1 I got 310,000 something and explained pros and cons of FRA
Q2… Went a little wrong hopefully get method marks, what about explanation?
Q3: 87,000 seems right I think,
Q4: didn’t really understand, blagged a few calc marks, what about explanation of capital structure?
Q5: NPV of 3900 something, explained sensitivity analysisJune 5, 2015 at 4:33 pm #253705Guys, the option was viable, i am quite sure, the saving was of 87000 and smth, the same question from bpp revision kit
June 5, 2015 at 4:34 pm #253706Question 4 : my working were good, although i forgot to divide new earnings by increased number of shares, that was my only mistake
new earnings?? weren’t the proceeds of rights issue used to redeem the loan, therefore earnings remained the same, only the number of shares increased??
June 5, 2015 at 4:34 pm #253707guys can someone tell wat to do for that 3rd question??
i felt it a bit difficult
i got benifit
but it was more than 100000June 5, 2015 at 4:35 pm #253709James, just explained dividen model in general and wrote that they used other company’s earning yield instead of theirs, as the company was listed as well
June 5, 2015 at 4:36 pm #253710Bro, they took this question exactly from bpp revision kit)) i worked on this type of questions a lot. As your interest will be saved, your earning will change
June 5, 2015 at 4:36 pm #253711Such as how it’s accurate etc?
My theory isn’t brilliant, struggled to cover the syllabus well enough. What you think of MCQ?
June 5, 2015 at 4:38 pm #253712James, regarding explanation of right issue, i didnt understand, although i wrote the cases when shaReholder buy right, sell rights or do nothing
June 5, 2015 at 4:38 pm #253715the total expected SPwas 29 but you still had to calculate separate for the weak and strong economy and after that comment as well, i remember doing a similar question from past papers as well because that total expected expected SP is unrealistic
June 5, 2015 at 4:38 pm #253716Guys, lets discuss mcqs! They were very, very tricky btw
