I purchased a new pc and my WiFi is great but still had this issue. I could see myself on camera and it was recording. The system test was also successful. It is really frustrating after all the hard work I wasn’t able to do my exam today.
It is not issue our end def acca !!
I wish they would allow us to reschedule and not make us wait 3 months
January 15, 2021 at 2:14 pm #605949Any luck with lecture videos? there’s no way I would be able to learn from the text book. It is huge!
December 10, 2020 at 5:56 pm #599169That’s right! Horrible paper!!
December 10, 2020 at 5:55 pm #599168Yes I got this question, u had to compare
December 10, 2020 at 5:32 pm #599153My second attempt and I’m shocked … u couldn’t have prepared for this paper. It is nothing like other previous exams – sept exam was at least similar to previous papers but I didn’t get through by couple marks and that was my fault for not preparing it well. I’ve managed to complete all 4 questions so I hope I will get 50 pass!!
Can anyone remember first group question?
Pension 9 marks
Goodwill 5 marks
What were the remaining questions?October 19, 2020 at 4:26 pm #590542Failed 43%! I didn’t attempt part A cash flow as I didn’t prepare for that, it’s my fault. I will attempt again! Well done to those who passed.
February 4, 2020 at 11:25 pm #560709Because I only booked the exam couple of days they said they will refund as it is within the 14 days. I’m thinking of attempting the exam in March.
Thank you
January 13, 2020 at 12:24 am #557988I’ve passed 59% first time. I’m so happy. I’ve used the Kaplan revision kit, OT lectures and acca pakistan vimeo – 5x lecture revision videos which helped me a lot. Past exam papers always help and I’ve used about them one week before my exam.
December 4, 2019 at 9:48 pm #554984Are you using the exam kit and practising past exam papers?
I used OT Lecture (really helpful!) and Kaplan exam kit. I didn’t read the text book tbh. Attempt every question in exam kit and past papers.
Good luck!
December 2, 2019 at 1:07 pm #554439The paper was ok – everything came up, audit risk, controls, corp gov. substantive testing, reporting! I am nervous about the section a (a bit confusing!) but hoping to get a pass!!
good luck all!
November 11, 2019 at 8:26 pm #552238Thanks for your advice. I have been revising and if feel bit more comfortable in all sections. I will def review the links above. thanks again!

October 15, 2019 at 4:31 pm #549668yes 100%
October 14, 2019 at 11:51 am #549424thank you
October 14, 2019 at 9:50 am #549399Open tuition lectures /notes and exam kit from Kaplan. Don’t waste time reading the text books. You need to learn all subjects – TX is long and various – give your self at least 3 months to be confident in the subject. I only had 8 weeks to prepare for this exam and I’ve managed to pass with OT lectures and Kaplan exam kit. My experience in the field helped.
Also make sure you try the CBE mock.
Good luck!
October 14, 2019 at 12:11 am #549145I’ve passed 54%, I am so happy! Thank you OT.
September 3, 2019 at 4:59 pm #544552there is no NI on Dividend.

The exam was okay, there were still a few trickier subjects. A lot of questions about penalties and also Incorporated vs Unincorporated trade questions. For the life of me I couldn’t remember what NICs were paid on dividends! Here’s hoping I did well enough and that everyone else has too!September 3, 2019 at 4:52 pm #544546the profit was subject to 19% corp tax and dividends was also taxed.
I should have given more time in C section – I couldn’t complete the last page – I think it was about income tax computation on cash accounting…. does anyone remember how many marks was that? I am just hoping to get 50%
August 30, 2019 at 7:28 pm #543886use past papers – you will notice the questions are slightly confusing on past exam papers – practise as much as you can on exam papers!! I am doing the same.
August 30, 2019 at 7:23 pm #543884this makes sense. so tricky!!! thanks so much for the explanation 🙂
August 30, 2019 at 4:59 pm #543870I actually came here for this question – it should be £125k available for him and another £125k from his wife as she never used hers. I am not sure how they came to that figures – the question is asking about the nil rate band not the residence value after mortgage interest. error in the answer sheet!!
August 5, 2019 at 10:18 pm #526347Thank you so much for your quick response. I am taking the UK TA and i am hoping my 10 years experience as finance manager would help at least with the VAT element and some of the corp tax stuff. i am going to take a day off tomorrow and watch the rest lectures so I can start revision kit by Wednesday latest. I just have to do my best now !!
good luck!!
August 5, 2019 at 8:31 pm #526343preparing my exam for TA exam for Sept and I have not finished the lectures – currently on lecture 14. Do you think I should go straight to practice questions and revision kit? I can probably complete the lecture videos by end of the week but that will leave me with 3 weeks revision and practice. Do you think that would be enough? It is my first acca exam and I am already freaking out!!
May 11, 2019 at 5:06 pm #515633Thank you, after careful consideration, I decided to take the exams in September.
