Got my results, a B with First Class Honours! I’d like to thank Gillian and Trephena for always answering any questions I had. The help you provide on these forums is truly invaluable.
May 20, 2020 at 4:22 pm #571332Just a follow up, another option while pasting is to embed the workbook. I think this may be the safest bet?
May 20, 2020 at 1:23 pm #571323Thank you! If I may ask one more question. I created my graphs in excel and then pasted them on word with the option to link the data, however, I’m a bit worried if this is the correct way to do it? Would it be better to maybe paste it as a picture to ensure that the data displayed will always stay the same when the marker is marking my project?
Also, once I’ve pasted these graphs onto my word document, should I delete these graphs from my spreadsheet?
Sorry if these questions are a bit pedantic, I just wanted to be extra careful.
May 15, 2020 at 10:34 pm #570974Thanks! I just had another question. While calculating market share, I used figures released by the country’s department of statistics to get figures for total industry revenue. However, these figures were in the form of monthly reports, so I had to add up the figures for all the months to get the total revenue for the year, which I used to calculate market share. My question is should I include these calculations in my appendix spreadsheet, or is it enough to just reference the source i.e. the statistic department’s website? And if I should include them in my appendix, should I include them in an entirely separate workbook, or is it fine to include them in a new sheet in my current workbook?
March 20, 2020 at 11:23 am #565467Hello
I’m using the 7Ps as a tool to analyse the marketing strategies of my chosen company. The company I’ve chosen operates in the high-end hotel industry. However, I am absolutely stumped as to what I should write for “process”. I would really appreciate any help with this.
March 18, 2020 at 1:07 pm #565382Hi! I managed to find the solution for my last two questions, but in the process came across another issue.
Assuming my consolidated sfp has the following
Capital and reserves attributable to the Company’s equity holders
Share capital
Share premium
Revaluation reserve
Translation reserve
Retained earnings
Proposed dividendsNon-controlling interest
Should I add all these up when calculating the value of the shareholder’s funds? Or should I omit the Revaluation reserve and the Translation reserve? Thanks
March 15, 2020 at 4:22 pm #565287And just to follow up on my previous question, when calculating capital employed do we include the value of the non-controlling interest as stated on the statement of financial position?
March 15, 2020 at 4:03 pm #565286Thank you! If I may follow it up with another question, I wanted to calculate the operating profit margin for a group of companies using their consolidated statement. Should I include the Share of loss/profit from associates when calculating operating profit?

October 8, 2019 at 6:15 pm #548378October 4, 2019 at 10:05 am #548112Hi, I’ve got a similar question but for topic 18, would it be okay to use the financial statements for the year ended July 2018 instead for the year ended July 2019? Thanks!
August 8, 2019 at 5:01 pm #526713Hi, I’ve been going through this thread and I’ve understood why SWOT and PESTLE analysis may not be too relevant for this topic. I wanted to know any other models we can use? Apart from the 7P’s and Porter’s five forces.
Thanks 🙂 - AuthorPosts
