Hello, I got the email about 07:00 am Oct 8th London time. I passed with B. I will get an upper second class Hors. I thought I would get first class based on exam papers score. I re-read the guidance and found only marks of skills level will be used. Unfortunately my average score was 66 for skill level. If I got one point more, or I got an A in the paper, I will get first class.

That being said, I appreciate everyone here who has been accompanying us for waiting and encouraging. I wish you all the best. This is not the end, this is the beginning.

For the RAP result, only email now. I got my result from OBU email, the online portal still shows “Not Marked”. The email will also tell you the degree classification, and a link to reconfirm your address by Oct 15th, so that OBU can send you paper copy of degree and transcript.

Hello everyone. i got a mail yersterday from Oxford saying that they will reject my RAP project as i have exceeded 10 years limit. they asked for evidence i’ve sent ACCA mail where it confirms my eligibility for period 40. My question is why they are asking for eligibility now on the date of results?? as per my understanding they should have done eligibility check before marking the project. And now i should wait for how long to get my results? Gillian, could you please enlighten me on these queries?

My understanding is that normally you have to submit within 10 years of your original registration with ACCA. I believe that for those for whom P40 would have been their last submission opportunity because of the issues surrounding the corona virus they would be allowed to submit in P41 as an ‘exceptional’ extension in ‘exceptional times’.

I am surprised that your eligibility wasn’t checked when you submitted, however I have no idea of the administrative procedures so can’t really comment with authority. I rather fear that unless you were granted an exceptional extension by ACCA [which seems to be what they are asking evidence of] you won’t get any results as they will say you are outside the qualifying period…

I gave 200%, went through all the guidelines and my mentor also suggesting me that there is something wrong and asked me to challenge against the result. Since i don’t get any further details, what should i do now? Please advice me.

    Hey guys,
Congrats to everyone who passed and to those who couldnt this time; dont give up. I failed my first time aswell in p39, but thankfully passed this time.

My advice (based on what I did):

First thing i did was go through the marker’s comments on your project. This is usually sent to you in a week or so i think. Carefully go through it and understand what the marker asking you to improve on.

second step i took was break down every thing the marker pointed-out into tasks to do. I hadn’t properly done the referencing, had done too few ratios, etc.

third thing i did was recheck everything keeping the marker’s comments in mind.

thats about it, i finished my project about 3-4 days before the re-submission deadline so i could recheck my project again (i was way too nervous, did not want to fail lol)

@irfanmalik191 – I don’t think all the results are out yet as only 60% of my students have been in touch with theirs. I have no idea what is going on.

This is unreasonable for those who have failed and need to resubmit because they are close to the 10 year limit. A few years ago the results would have come out by about 23 September together with the feedback at one and the same time and the submission close about 16 May thus allowing at least 5 weeks. Now you the results are already about 2 weeks late and you have to wait yet another week for the feedback – so altogether about the half the time to rework failed work and the submission close is about a week earlier. This is unacceptable.

Good advice hasab9944 – that is exactly what is needed

    Thanks for your reply.

I just received the following email.

Your Research and Analysis Project has been sent to the Academic Conduct Officer (ACO) for further investigation as one of the marking team has raised a concern over the academic practice of your work. For example, this could be because of an absence of referencing in some passages, or because it is thought that verbatim quotations (using the same words as the source) have not been shown as quotations. It could also be because it is suspected that the work is not entirely your own. All submitted projects are now passed through Turnitin.

All the work is done 100% by me. Can someone please help me?
