Just read the pass rate for this exam was only 33%.. crazy low
April 16, 2019 at 5:29 pm #513117Same study method for me Kaplan study text and questions. Then in revision phase I found the Kaplan exam kit extremely useful, even if not doing the questions, but reading through the answers π
April 15, 2019 at 1:55 pm #512861Pass with 58% now completed the ACCA after years of pushing.. amazing feeling. 18 exams sat, 7 of those being resits. Every fail is closer to a pass so donβt give up is what I have learnt through all of this! Good luck to all still sitting it will all be worth it in the end. Thank you open tuition for all your lectures and these forums I always looked forward to reading after sitting an exam or awaiting results. I will most definitely be making a donation ??
April 14, 2019 at 8:58 pm #512429I have never quite understood the link theory people talk about on here, but with me waiting for my final exam results and reading previous comments on this forum I have tried logging into the members page and it has let me in, showing a grey and white page. No idea if this theory is reliable but I really hope so!!!
March 5, 2019 at 4:27 pm #507810Nasty! And agreed extremely time pressured. Last exam fingers crossed!!
December 3, 2018 at 4:03 pm #486979Minousha – amazing memory!
I too took uk version (2nd attempt) and was hoping for uk based question in section b – thoroughly revised wrongful/fraudulent trading and insolvency hoping one would come up!
Agree fair exam but time pressure!
GC indicators I also mentioned inventory payable and receivable days increase or decrease, and that the bank was overdrawn. And current interest cover

Consideration 68
Contingent consideration 16×25% =4
Nci 2.5 mil (the group bought 10 mil shares (80%)) shares x 4.25
Net assets (70)
Fv adj of na (5)
ββββββββββ
Goodwill 7.625Same answer also! Uk variant if that makes a difference perhaps the question was different to others
September 6, 2018 at 3:15 pm #471878Tough!! Iβm hoping the markers may be more leanient with it being the first one in new format and many finding it hard.. positive thinking?!

Was wondering – if you do all three optional questions will the marker give you marks for the best two?I was told that if you answer all three the marker will mark the first two questions they come across ignoring the last..
June 4, 2018 at 4:36 pm #456073Also something about expectations gap..
June 4, 2018 at 4:35 pm #456072Watched a lecture on KAM a couple of days ago, but q4 on KAM benefits and disadvantages.. mind blank!? Benefits I put highlights to shareholders and potential shareholders the significant issues that could influence their decision..
June 4, 2018 at 4:02 pm #456039Most time pressured exam I have taken! 6 pages Written for question one.. took up half the exam time! Qu one and two ok.. the options questions I feel my answers were weaker..! Chose 4 and 5.
December 9, 2017 at 10:50 am #422228Was it correct to deduct 25% corporation tax off interest In wacc loan calc?
December 8, 2017 at 8:41 pm #422095Don’t let it demotivate you it’s probably one of the hardest of the F modules to start on in my opinion!
December 8, 2017 at 6:11 pm #422043I put ordinary shares.. was unsure on what certificates of deposit are?!
Damn I forgot about other loans in sofp too and went purely off the paragraphs!!!
December 8, 2017 at 5:46 pm #422029Payback 2.4
Not wc – sales
For the wacc convert or redeem were we meant to calculate the cost of debt for both and use the lowest?!
December 8, 2017 at 4:57 pm #421990I did four years because the last paragraph mentioned about the directors not being happy with the current method of being appraised over 4 years..
December 8, 2017 at 4:55 pm #421988Think I messed up on the ten mark question ondividend policy mind went blank. Looks like it was about Modigliani and miller but didn’t put anything to do with this?!
Interested to see what others put?
December 8, 2017 at 4:53 pm #421982Hits123 I got the same npvs as you! My wacc was 5-6% can’t remember exact.
Does anyone else keep making the mistake of writing Β£ instead of $?! Do we lose marks for that do you think?
Third attempt at this paper it’s the toughest of the f papers for me, probably drawing with f5!
Was happy to see wacc and Npv as main questions. Struggle with hedging, spot rates and capm!

I found my optimum to be B tell me yoursOmar I chose C as it was the last point my ruler hit when I ran it parallel away from the ISO contribution line!
September 8, 2016 at 10:38 am #338980Hey chi fingers crossed we’ve done enough on 31 for almost full marks! I also mentioned that they were performing well with revenues increasing but in order for it to continue they must work on lowering customer complaints most likely about slow deliveries and that changing from the international Courier to their own was a bad move. Just a lot of waffling really these performance measure ones aren’t they! They’re Easy marks I think so was quite happy to see that question poo up! π
Nelvin I thought the paper was okay too much better feeling than June paper. First half of 32 with limiting factor think I messed but but found second part with optimum solution and iso lines, and slack, easy.
Mcqs probably definitely knew about 12. Ten probably half knew/half guessed. 8 really unsure and time pressured so guesses!
Never have time to check through my answers in an f5 paper!
September 8, 2016 at 9:05 am #338960I sat the June one too nelvin,
awful!September 8, 2016 at 7:29 am #338926Question 31 i mainly did percent differences too.
Also net and gross profit margins..
And Amount percent of late deliverys had increasedSeptember 8, 2016 at 7:26 am #338925Frustrating I forgot to divide contribution by the limiting amount of beta, I ranked in cs ratio order.
For the second part of it though was the correct answer not to honour the contract as limited resource produces more contribution on other products so profit would be higher?I got optimum point as C..
Minimin 450. Minimax regret I got confused with how to calc so think I just took a guess at 650!
September 7, 2016 at 7:45 pm #338768Damn question 31 I didnt base it on the contribution per unit of beta.. I just based it on contribution per unit. Shakes first (because of agreement), cakes second, cookies third.. Anyone else do similar?!
My fourth attempt at this paper and did not think the main two questions were that bad at all. MCQs were tough. Always a few I leave until the end but run out of time to calculate so end up guessing randomly! Fingers cross fourth time lucky!
