Yes I went with economic and transaction as the question stated that no balance would be due (i.e. payable balance) at year end so eliminated translation risk.

I doubt they would discredit you for writing incorrect currencies, doesn’t matter as long as the value is correct i assume

Hey guys, what’s the answer for the commercial paper question?
    It was something like: 40 days, 365 days a year, $10000 $9967

as I remember there was 45 days, 9938 and 360 days, so:
    10000-9938=62
    62/9938=0.624% for 45 days
    360/45=8
    1.00624^8=5.1%
(the figure may be a little different but the calculation was like this)

I was going to do 4 years aswell but into said that from year 5 the cash flows are expected to continue at maximum capacity into the future. Does this not imply a perpetuity beginning in year 5?
    My wacc was 11.8%
I always say I’m not gonna come on this site after the exam and get depressed that my answers were not like anyone else’s but just can’t help it…..
    If I fail I hope it’s a good fail and not 40 bloody 9.

Nice of them to put in the general rate of inflation of 4% to try and throw us off! Spent ages trying to figure out if i should adjust the discount factors. But didn’t.

And also, even more frustrating when you do practice questions they quote the share price as ex-div which is what you need for the questions. Whereas in this paper they decided to quote in cum div? I assume you just minus the dividend to be paid from the share price to get the ex-div? Anyone else do this

I suppose it should be the average receivables. It’s more logic, the closing balance we take when we don’t have the information about the average.
