Did anyone use SFA for acquisition of Hylife? I didn’t use the model in my answer but used it to streamline my thought process. Is this okay?
September 8, 2021 at 1:00 pm #634882Fitness instructors were resisting attachment of CPD adherence to their employment contracts so a question was asked as to how may Optima approach this. I think this was a leadership type question so first this should be implemented by the senior and middle management to lead by example and then the CEO should make himself more approachable for any concerns by the instructors, communicate with them the importance of CPD etc
April 11, 2021 at 3:10 pm #616757I appeared for AAA and AFM. I have a strong feeling I passed AFM but not feeling so good about AAA even though I did all paper… I think my exam technique wasn’t good in AAA because it was my first center based professional exam and I was too nervous resulting in too many dumb mistakes whereas AFM was three days later and having the AAA experience, I was relaxed on day of AFM paper and therefore did it pretty well. If I fail AAA, it will be purely because of exam technique.

April 9, 2021 at 8:14 am #616546Thanks for taking the time to respond. One last question, I have already gone through my RAP like a dozen times trying to remove unnecessary words to reduce the word count and I don’t think I can do it anymore. So I was thinking to try including a shorter version of PESTLE analysis in the main body of RAP, which is PEST, and the including LE in appendix. Is that appropriate? If not, can I just do the shorter version of PESTLE?
February 13, 2021 at 6:12 pm #610278I have been told by my mentor that I have to choose a competitor as well and so far, Tesla has no competitors in the world. He told me the following:
1) Competitor must be an EV company
2) Competitor must be mass producing EV like Tesla
3) Competitor must have world wide operations like Tesla. So far, there are non. But I researched a bit and I found out that a Chinese EV company Nio is emerging in this segment and giving them tough time China. I don’t know about their world operation. So can I just compare the Tesla’s Chinese gigafactory numbers with those of Nio in China? Because I think that fulfills the requirements. Both are located in China, with all their sales in China (I mean the gigafactory of Tesla in Shaghai).
Any input on this would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
September 12, 2019 at 8:34 am #545920Secondly, are you saying that interest rates don’t stay constant during the project life and may increase as a result of more borrowing at later stage?
September 12, 2019 at 8:30 am #545919Thank you.
Last question I promise. I understand all that but how are unconventional cash flows an indication of two different IRRs in the first place since individual cash flows don’t matter and only the NPV does?

March 23, 2019 at 7:50 am #510120Thank you Sir. I’m already going through your lectures, just want to clear this confusion as the audio in the lectures isn’t as clear sometimes, don’t know why.

12 weeks is certainly enough. I started studying for this paper immediately after the June exams, had a 2 week holiday in July and still passed it first time in September. I probably studied a lot less than 250 hours in total. For the September attempt? Did you use OT? Are OT lectures and notess + revision kit and past papers enough?
January 25, 2016 at 8:17 am #297776Thank you so much Mike, and for this awesome resource called OT. I’ve been studying with ALP but they complicated this topic so much, I literally didn’t know what I was studying, and started hoping for exclusion of this topic from exam (lol). I just read the construction contracts chapter from OT notes and believe me, I feel confident now and everything made sense. Sometimes, people complicate the simplest things
January 28, 2015 at 11:19 am #224134Well I guess I’ve been overestimating. Eight hours a day is pretty realistic and doable though and that too without sacrificing your social life. I wake up at like 5. I start studying at 7 until 4 including some breaks. You can do whatever you want in the evening or late evening.
January 27, 2015 at 11:41 am #223938Yes but they can probably verify from ACCA or something?
January 27, 2015 at 11:28 am #223935are you sure?
January 26, 2015 at 9:59 am #223769The only reason I asked is here in Pakistan, top firms recruit only on the basis of number of attempts. If you fail an attempt, the odds are stacked against you.
January 10, 2015 at 1:16 pm #222249I know about the no refund policy. Just wasn’t sure if they recorded it as an attempt or not. Thank you!

December 6, 2013 at 7:10 am #150944Qs 3 was ethics.
December 6, 2013 at 6:33 am #150937It was very easy. Sadly, I only could attempt 70-75% of the paper 🙁 and the main reason for that is the invigilator wasted 20 mins of my time and also, the reading and planning time, and also additional 10 mins writing names on every sheet and filling the bubbles 🙁 I’m going to report that to ACCA today.
December 3, 2012 at 4:32 pm #108438I was simply seeking tutor’s opinion…! But thanks
