Thanks, Kim – got it!
April 20, 2022 at 12:41 pm #654056I got 49 and just to rub salt into the wound have just received an email from ACCA congratulating me on my exam success.
August 24, 2019 at 1:31 pm #528640Hi, welcome to the forum.
You can do them in any order you like! They do recommend that you do SBR before AAA and I agree with this. Personally, i’m leaving SBL to the end…..that will hopefully be one last 4 hours of torture π

Don’t know what else to add really. I has the knowledge floating about for most questions, but struggled to put anything constructive together.
Agree with performance, more frustrated after the exam as it was me rather than the exam itself. My head was just not working, possibly the build of all the crap in my head.I agree. So glad that Q1a was a SoFP – and they made it as easy as possible in terms of the % holding. Couldn’t deal with the financial instrument and the 10% disposal through the share swap threw me as well. I was struggling with 1b as I hadn’t read the supplement for the UK paper. 1c was ok I think.
Knew I was going to seriously struggle with Q2 and 4 so went to 3. Struggled with 3a but did put something down – managed to write something for b & c but tbh no idea if it was relevant.
Ended up plumping for Q4 as Q2 had another element from the UK supplement. Wrote a couple of lines for Part Ai, nothing for Aii. Did put something down for part B but again pretty sure it was just waffle.
No chance of reaching 50% as I missed too much out and probably wrote non-relevant info for the questions I did answer.
June 4, 2018 at 6:44 pm #456146Not a chance of an all nighter. I’ll be gubbed by 10 bells.
June 4, 2018 at 2:37 pm #456007Not achieving much to be honest. Was going to attempt Q1a from the Sep/Dec hybrid. SPLOCI. Couldn’t even get started without referring to the answer.
Brutal stuff this.
June 4, 2018 at 12:14 pm #455972The model answers are wild in my opinion.
Working 2 referencing working 9, working 3 referencing working 7 etc.
Through Learn Signal I learned that you can generally just work your way through each point/note in the question in order. That certainly helped me a bit.

How did you get on? I was on and off with concentration so got bits done but really not enough.Packed it in at 9:30 – wasn’t taking anything in. The other mistake I made was to book the UK version of the paper. There’s a downloadable supplement for the BPP study text which I forgot about until last week. So that’s more info that needs to be known. Looking back it looks like maybe 8-10 marks based on that but it could be up to 20. Haven’t even looked at the supplement yet.
I wish you could leave the exam when you were done. Don’t fancy sitting doing nothing for an hour or something. Although I realise that would put other people in the hall off.
All the best everyone – make the most of today and you never know. Be good to hear your thoughts afterwards on Tuesday.
June 3, 2018 at 8:28 pm #455848Yeah, i’m back to considering not turning up. π
Joe – the new exam has exactly the same syllabus, but the 30-35 mark calculation (Q1a) will be no more.
June 3, 2018 at 1:50 pm #455760The way I feel right now, i’d take 35 and then push on for the Sept re-sit. Genuinely don’t think i’ll even reach that.
As you say, come 1:15 on Tuesday it’ll all be over and we can enjoy the summer. (until we get the result!)
June 3, 2018 at 1:13 pm #455756I could have written this post!
I had convinced myself on Friday that I wasn’t going to go, but I think that’s daft. Go along, see what you can do and at least you’ve tried and just prepare for a resit in September.
I have felt a bit like this in previous exams but this one seems amplified as it’s my first attempt at a P paper. Can really fell the step up from the F papers.
If SoFP comes up I will be able to make a decent stab at it. Either of the other two and i’m in trouble.
Today, i’m just going through all the written questions in the BPP revision kit, writing down what I think I know and then comparing with the answer and writing down the elements I missed and hoping that it all stays in my memory somewhere! Tomorrow, back to the calculations.
Good luck for Tuesday!
June 3, 2018 at 11:14 am #455738Sadly there is no pattern, however SoFP comes up way more often.
Last 10 exams –
Mar ’18 – SoFP
Dec ’17 – SPLOCI
Sep ’17 – CF
Jun ’17 – SoFP
Mar ’17 – SoFP
Dec ’16 – SPLOCI
Sep ’16 – SoFP
Jun ’16 – CF
Mar ’16 – SoFP
Dec ’15 – SoFPI have a feeling that they are going to sign off (last P2 exam before SBR) with a cash flow as that was in the pilot paper.
I’m struggling with this one (first attempt at a P paper) so for me it won’t matter too much what comes up, I don’t fancy my chances π
January 15, 2018 at 10:13 am #429889Passed with 50% (third attempt!) Phew!
January 13, 2018 at 12:29 am #428788If it’s released at midnight then Friday or Saturday for sure. If it’s got to be a Sunday then an earlier time would be better…midday or something. I’m sure the ACCA will have a reason for releasing them at midnight on a Sunday?….
**Edit** I’m in the UK
December 13, 2017 at 12:02 pm #422922Yeah, so ACCA have released the “Sample Sept/Dec Questions”…..both are from the Sept exam. Not very helpful!
*Edit – although could they have selected a question from the CBE December exam? Hadn’t thought of that.
October 14, 2017 at 12:14 pm #410925F4 – 56
F5 – 51
F6 – 50
F7 – 57
F8 – 63A couple close to the bone!
April 25, 2017 at 8:17 pm #383784It’s definitely doable in 5 weeks but really need to get your head down (I’ve only ever self studied)
In terms of which one……
I’ve only got F9 left. I felt that F5 was “easier” than F7 when I was studying it but got a higher mark in F7.
F9 is an absolute b*s*a*d in my opinion. Failed it with 30 in December….resit incoming in June π
January 23, 2017 at 1:16 pm #369011Absolutely bombed it with 30% π
Can’t resit until June due to work commitments so I’ve got plenty of time to sort myself out before then.
August 28, 2016 at 2:01 pm #335773Yes the CBE questions are different but in the revision kit they are just additional multi choice questions.
Why don’t you just buy a new revision kit? If you ordered today you’ll get it by Wednesday. Even if it didn’t arrive till Thursday that still gives you 5 days of question practice. Until then just practice the multi choice q’s you have in the old revision kit as well as the longer form questions (and also the Open Tuition mini questions!)
August 28, 2016 at 12:46 pm #335762I’ve got the new BPP one. The two main differences are that it now includes CBE style questions and also the case style questions where a scenario is given and then five questions follow which relate to the scenario. The same knowledge is required so you will be fine with the old book, but you should also have a look at the specimen paper to familiarise yourself with the new case questions.
July 19, 2016 at 1:19 pm #327629I got 63 (after getting 49 in the March sitting). Pretty pleased with that!
April 19, 2016 at 7:02 pm #311766Failed with 49% (1st attempt). Pretty gutting to be honest.
Was going to do F7 in June but will just resit this. Should hopefully be able to find an extra mark or two somewhere!
August 1, 2015 at 12:43 am #263607Passed. That’s all that matters! π
February 10, 2015 at 1:17 pm #227638Cheers. Yes, F9 was certainly difficult – particularly the multi choice questions.
February 10, 2015 at 1:08 pm #227629Where did you get them? Not listed on the ACCA website yet.
