If anyone has the new revision kit does it include more MCQs to account for the new format of the paper? Anybody done a comparison of the old one to the new?

I’ve got the new BPP one. The two main differences are that it now includes CBE style questions and also the case style questions where a scenario is given and then five questions follow which relate to the scenario. The same knowledge is required so you will be fine with the old book, but you should also have a look at the specimen paper to familiarise yourself with the new case questions.

Yes I am looking at the specimen paper which shows there are more MCQs which is why I am asking this question. Thanks for your response. CBE is different to the written paper still though isn’t it, according to the ACCA site it looks as though it is.

The trouble is there is only one specimen paper to practice from.

Yes the CBE questions are different but in the revision kit they are just additional multi choice questions.

Why don’t you just buy a new revision kit? If you ordered today you’ll get it by Wednesday. Even if it didn’t arrive till Thursday that still gives you 5 days of question practice. Until then just practice the multi choice q’s you have in the old revision kit as well as the longer form questions (and also the Open Tuition mini questions!)

I have enough to get through as it is, it was just mere curiosity as to how much of the new text is MCQs.
