    Section C
    1. Calculate NPV (specific inflation rate for sales, VC, FC and working capital). Tax benefits.
    2. Discuss relative merits of NPV and IRR
    3. Calculate how financing investment by debt or by equity will affect Interest cover and gearing ratios.
    4. M&M theory to discuss.

I’m quite disappointed with that question in a section C, I practised WACC a lot.
I am bummed I didn’t get any islamic finance questions but instead got freaking Baumol ?

    I got substantive procedures for:
    – expenses and purchases
    – bank loan
    – provision for liability
    – revaluation planning

Audit risks, direct controls and test of controls, control deficiencies and recommendations.
Needed to describe the elements of internal control.
Describe what opinion would be expressed if management doesn’t adjust for some event.
    Materiality and performance materiality explanation.

Overall Section A I feel wasn’t the best for me.
I am really not sure about this exam. I am praying for 50%

Hi! I will be honest – don’t think it’s enough time and combination of AA and TX is not great.
    They both are quite big

For section C i have calculated investment share for the associate, dividend adjustment, acquisition was not full year so i had to adjust all the figures in the FS to 9 months instead of taking whole figures as stated.
Also depreciation adjustment and unrealised profit

    Hi Zaman,

    What those abbreviations mean?
I learnt it as AQ AP vs AQ SP; AQ AP vs AQ RSP etc ( actual quantity, actual price; standard price and revised standard price).

    Hi people.

Also had transfer pricing and variances in section C.

Does anyone remember the transfer one? With a mark up added the transfer price would be $6, correct?

    Thanks
