ACCA CBE DemoF4 is the easiest of them all. You can prepare it by yourself through self study. The remaining papers are numerical which are difficult to prepare by self study.
You can sit for paper base exam for F1-F3. But paper base exam are only held twice a year i.e June and December and CBE are held every month. Now its up to you whether you want to wait for 5 months or to give early.
There were some changes in F8 syllabus for June 2010 exams. It would be better if you get updated text book.
You cannot sit for optionals without passing core papers i.e P1,P2,P3. The other option is to sit core along with options. So I suggest that u take P2 & P3 this attempt and then optionals in next attempt.
Kaplan is concise and to the point making it easier for the student to prepare for exam. On the other hand I found BPP more detailed oriented which enhances your knowledge. So I prefer Kaplan for exam preparation.
If you want to attempt 3 papers then go for F4,F5 & F7.
If you want to attempt 2 papers then go for F5 & F7.
I would not suggest taking F9 with F7 as its difficulty level is higher then F7 and F7 itself requires hard working and practice.
F5 is of mid level difficulty. Whereas F4 is all theoretical and easy to prepare.If u have not completed 3 years PER then you are called ACCA Affiliate. If you have have completed PER then you are ACCA Member.
If you have thorough understanding of topics then you might not need kit. But if you get time it is advisable to go through some question if not all.

If possible find a quite and alone place in your home and read aloud with concentration.
You cannot just fix materiality level it depends on the judgment of auditor and the level of risk he is facing.
Just read Text book and exam kit as much you can. Remember “READ” not just “GO THROUGH”.

If you get more than 80% in F1-F2 either by CBE or PBE you get a certificate. If not, then you get certificate after completion of F module.
If you paid through MyACCA for June2010 attempt then I’m afraid that you opted for manual papers because CBEs are conducted by colleges not directly by ACCA. So for CBE you pay directly to that corresponding college not ACCA. And CBEs only available for CAT papers T1-T4 and ACCA papers F1- F3.
