July 17, 2017 at 7:32 pm #397135Hello,
With these sorts of queries it is always best to check the ACCA website itself, as opposed to a forum.

July 17, 2017 at 6:28 pm #397111Hello,
Are you referring to the BPP pass assurance?
If so, you will need to contact BPP and not Open Tuition as they are separate.
July 17, 2017 at 6:23 pm #397108Hello,
I failed on my third attempt with 46!
I think realistically it is not possible for this Mike person to know what you need to change.
Try doing the past papers and mark yourself to see which areas you failed to get the marks. That is what I will be doing!
Best of luck.
July 17, 2017 at 6:22 pm #397107Failed on my third attempt with 46.. an improvement on the previous 2 sittings with low 40s.
Really frustrating to fail… I felt really confident with the material, exam technique and in the exam itself.
Now having to put myself under strain once again to try and pass in September 🙁
Well to done everyone who passed and to those who haven’t, take a day to chill out and then get back on it for September!
July 3, 2017 at 10:01 pm #394657Hi Pchahal,
Some great advice from eagledave there. I agree, it really does depend on your location, size of company etc.
I would also recommend for you to get as much experience as you can and improve on any areas of weakness in your day to day role and also in any soft skills.
July 3, 2017 at 9:54 pm #394656Hello,
Firstly I would recommend for you to have a look at what type of jobs/companies would be suitable for you and then see what their requirements are.
I also recommend contacting some recruitment agency’s and explain your situation as they would have experience in placing people in jobs according to their qualifications/experience so that might help answer your query quicker.
I personally work for a big 4 accountancy firm and a Maths GCSE was a requirement, but in addition to that, they had more academic requirements.
So it really does depend on what type of jobs/companies will offer you a career without a Maths GCSE, because if you do not need one then it would save you time.
I hope this helps and if you have any further questions, please let me know.
July 3, 2017 at 9:46 pm #394655Hi Hassan,
You mentioned that you get 7 hours of sleep each day, maybe try 7.5 or 8 hours and see if it makes a difference?
Also, although it is tough whilst studying, but getting some exercise and fresh fruit veg usually helps me a lot.
I feel a lot more sluggish if I am eating too much junk food/not exercising.
I would also recommend to try and make a study plan so you know what you need to do each day/week/month etc This usually helps me as I know what I need to do and when by which is a great motivator in itself.
I hope the above helps, if you need any more help please do let me know.
July 3, 2017 at 9:24 pm #394654Good luck everyone! I am waiting for my June 17 P7 result… praying for a pass!
July 3, 2017 at 9:22 pm #394653Good luck everyone for the results which are coming up soon!
September 4, 2016 at 4:25 pm #337530Thank you all for your messages – I have now managed to log in and download the docket.
Note to all – don’t leave downloading your exam docket to the last minute!
ACCA website states that if you forget your docket the exam centre are able to produce one for you but I didn’t want the stress of doing so in the morning just in case you come accross an invigilator who does not understand.
All the best to everyone sitting exams.

November 16, 2014 at 1:38 pm #210441Hi,
I am also struggling for this.
At the moment I am trying to do the calculations/adjustments first then drawing up the SOFP at the end.
It is taking me a long time though so would be great to hear how other people are going to tackle it.

May 14, 2014 at 9:43 am #168757Hi,
This is my first attempt at P2 and it is very challenging!
I would recommend to focus on group accounting. If you remember your F7 material on group accounts then great, if not i would recommend to go over the basics of group accounts first.
Once you know that, then go onto the next parts of group accounting such as complex consolidations, acquisitions, disposals etc.
Hope this helps and best of luck!
February 10, 2014 at 5:44 pm #157800Hi,
Congratulations for passing!
Each employer is different…. Some won’t pay anything towards it and some pay partial/full.
I’m fortunate in that my employer pays for everything, course fees, exam fees etc apart from the annual acca subscription fee.
