Hi Tutor
Do u need to quote the statements and what it stands for in exam?
You need to post in “ask the tutor” forums if you want to ask the tutor.
But anyway, as far as I know, there are no marks available for naming accounting standards, and a past paper question I’ve recently done actually states in the ‘top tips’ in the answer: “Don’t waste time writing out the name of standards as there’s no marks available for it.”
Quoting the number – IAS 2 etc, is enough to demonstrate that you know which standard you’re talking about.
Nor should you waste time describing what the standard deals with – there’s no marks for that either.
The examiner is testing your ability to apply the relevant parts of accounting standards to the question. Simply writing about the standard itself is not going to score you any marks.
Forget titles and numbers. They score ZERO!
And, if you’re going to address it to me (“Hi Tutor”) you need to post it on the Ask the Tutor page!
Hi all,
Does this include the ISA;s as well?
Thanks.
