Thank you so much.
I don’t know how I didn’t notice that! It was right in front of my eyes.
I’m sorry for taking your time for such a simple question Mr. John.
April 18, 2022 at 11:26 am #653749Passed on my first attempt with 75%. The best advice I can give to whoever is sitting the future sessions is to finish the study material as fast as possible and focus on revision kit and past exam paper, and familiarize yourself with the exam format and time management.
October 23, 2020 at 6:20 am #592898Same here, I received a call from them yesterday, they said there is no other option than the review and don’t “expect much”! So I will keep up the hard work and move forward because I don’t see that the marks will be changed. I wish you all the luck dear, don’t be disappointed your hard work will be paid off.
October 22, 2020 at 4:08 am #591055How can we do that? I’ve sent lots of emails about it no one has returned to me yet.
October 21, 2020 at 9:53 pm #591007Actually, I didn’t face any technical problems during the exam. Thats why my survey answers were all very satisfied and strongly agree. I wish I can repeat it now, because I’m sure my scenario answers were not saved. I’m just disappointed 🙁
October 21, 2020 at 3:50 am #590901Hi Adrian,
I contacted ACCA for this exact reason because where I work there is no qualified person also. So they told me that the duration of the work can be signed by the HR or your boss and the objectives should only be signed by a qualified person which can be the external auditor of the company or if you move to another job later you can complete your objectives there even if you completed 3 years of experience.
So the duration and the objectives can be completed separately .
In my case I haven’t had anyone to sign my objectives so far. What I’ve been thinking is to complete the three years and then I might find a position in an ACCA qualified employer, so I can get an exemption of completing the objectives(if it’s allowed).
October 20, 2020 at 3:06 pm #590808Same here. Although I didn’t fail but I wasn’t expecting 51. I’m sure this is only my McQ mark. My senario answers were lost somewhere or never been marked. I sent them an email because as far as I understood they will not send us the script. It’s not fair to know That I barely passed even though I’m sure of my performance.
September 11, 2020 at 4:41 am #584923The definition of the goodwill is the difference between the cost of the acquiring which is the consideration paid by the acquirer to acquire the assets of the acquiree less the fair value of the acquiree’s identifiable net assets. Why haven’t you included the 12m cash paid in goodwill calculations? That’s why you got negative goodwill.
I myself made a stupid mistake in the MCQ about contingent liability and provision. I thought there was something wrong with the question so I kept pressing on the choices but the color wasn’t changing then I got a message that I can’t try anymore :s so 2 marks from this question is already deductible lol .
January 18, 2020 at 2:19 pm #559022I see, so according to The Code of Ethics the ACCA member must not accept auditing the financials of such entities. thanks for making it clear Kim and I’m really sorry.
January 17, 2020 at 12:58 pm #558954Thank you so much for replying, that was very helpful. I know it’s not examinable, but this question has always been on my mind and witnessing co-workers facing the exact situation just wanted to be prepared(or armed with knowledge) for future surprises :D.
Thank you so much Mr. Kim!

I’m planning on sitting the Tax exam in March and going to start studying today – can anyone advise if 7 weeks to study for this exam is enough? I am also working full time. Thanksit took me three months to finish the material and one month for the revision, overall it was approximately 400 hours, well it also depends how much free time you got and how many hours you can focus. it might take you shorter or longer.

hello,I just passed PM and I need to start preparing for the next exam TX. I need advice whether to sit TX-UK or TX RO (from Romania, my country).
Thank you,
hi, if you are not willing to move and work in the UK then you should definitely go for the Romanian variant, otherwise it’s not gonna be that useful for you if there is already your country’s variant.
January 13, 2020 at 2:05 pm #558402passed on the first attempt, 76% thank you open tuition! great lecturer without him wouldn’t even imagine to have a grasp of the UK taxation.

If you’re using free lectures along with lecture notes, you probably don’t need a study text. The lectures contain everything you need to pass this exam. However, if you’re still determined to use a study text, i’d say Kaplan is preferable. There are lots of detailed examples for every topic which makes understanding them easier. In any case, you must buy a revision kit from an approved publisher. TX-UK is all about practice. Its not enough to simply memorise the rules or understand the concepts. The syllabus is huge and you need practice every step of the way to pass it!
Thanks for the reply! That was very helpful. I usually use all the available resources to complete my studies, and so far I have used BPP materials and I wanted to make sure if Kaplan was better or not. Thank you so much for your response and good luck with your exams.
June 6, 2019 at 2:02 pm #519349is this your second attempt? mine was the first and I was well prepared but now I’m disappointed it was harder than I expected. not the content but managing the time .
June 5, 2019 at 11:55 am #519076It was ok but I had time management problem. I don’t want to have assumptions about the results but I will wait the results 🙂
May 28, 2019 at 3:15 pm #517693I’ve learned the way that you showed in the lectures , this one actually confused me . Would you mind if I posted it here? I just want to feel sure that I didn’t miss anything for the exam .
May 22, 2019 at 3:14 pm #516884oh right! exam stress has made me blind 🙂 thank you so much Mr. John!
October 14, 2018 at 8:05 pm #478036I got it sir that explained a lot thank you so much.
