Thank you Kim for the detailed reply
December 1, 2022 at 1:50 pm #673029As far as my experience, you don’t need to pay membership annual fees if you already paid anther membership fee.
i.e I became an affiliate and applied for membership in Jan 2022, at that time I would have already paid my student subscription fee for the year 2022 in 2021. So in 2022 I just paid the 270 Membership fee application fee. Essentially my subscription fee for 2022 was the student price.

January 21, 2022 at 6:56 pm #647231Hi, I just shared the latest timings for me in the membership forum
https://opentuition.com/topic/acca-membership-application-2/page/2/#post-647230
Basically 2 – 3 workings days for me.
January 21, 2022 at 6:54 pm #647230Hi All,
Since I was monitoring this thread for information before applying for membership, thought I would share my latest experience, in case anyone is looking for the latest information.
I applied for membership on the day of the December 21 results release. i.e 17th of January 2022
I already had my PER signed off and ethics done.
I got an email to say that my membership was approved and would be transferred to membership within 5 working days on the 19th of January. Paid the 270GBP immediately same day.
MyACCA was fully updated to the membership profile and I was able to download my membership certificate on the 20th of January and letter of good standing etc..
So from application to downloading the membership certificate took 3 working days in total.
Hope this is useful

October 17, 2021 at 6:41 pm #637945Does anyone have the experience, that when you walk out of the exam you think that 200% you will fail the exam because there is no way your going to pass since you left a lot of things out and the exam is horrible and then you actually got a pass mark on results day?
October 17, 2021 at 5:55 pm #637939isn’t their suppose to be a countdown timer?

July 18, 2021 at 10:02 pm #628294you will normally receive an email and/or sms with the result right after midnight UK Time.
July 18, 2021 at 3:03 pm #628187I sat Sbr and AAA and got a congrats email from learn signal sent from Acca saying congrats on completing my SBR exam etc.. did not get one for AAA. Don’t know if it means anything but hopefully I passed SBR..
July 16, 2021 at 6:07 pm #627967Hi, my ACCA under qualifications also shows 1 in red, but I had 2 papers, does it mean anything, or it always shows 1 no matter how many papers you take?
June 7, 2021 at 9:55 pm #623780Agreed, but was tricky I guess, the examiner should just write audit risk and thats it,
Anyone did ROMM – risk of management bias?
Since company was listed, and was not doing well I think , no amortization and impairment was taken, so I suppose there is this general risk?
Also non disclosure of related party transactions, would that be a risk?
June 7, 2021 at 8:32 pm #623765Got the same question.
Regarding the NEW CLIENT…
when I saw the first line of intro , I was like oh new client, detection risk , 2 marks , this is going to be easy.. when I was writing half way I looked at the requirement and its says Risk of Material misstatement not audit risk…
As far as I learned, audit risk included ROMM and detection risk, but ROMM does not included detection Risk, so new client is not ROMM??
I did mention there was a risk of opening balances and comparatives being wrong, I hope this is ROMM
??
March 26, 2020 at 3:43 pm #565946Someone told me all exams in UK, Ireland and mainland Europe for June all cancelled? can someone confirm this please?
March 23, 2019 at 11:31 pm #510249I have passed F6 & F7 In One session and F5 & F9 in the next session, and my average ACCA mark for F paper is around 68. While working full time(40 hours week). So it’s definitely possible. and I was someone who failed miserably in school and didn’t pass enough exam to go to university.
If I weren’t working, I would definitely have done 3 F’s in each session, as I will have 40 hours a week more, easily.
I’m sure people will give you suggestions to slow it down, for sure they have their valid reasons. But don’t listen if people tell you it CAN’T be done, because it shows that’s their limit, not yours.
March 23, 2019 at 11:18 pm #510248I received the email, Im not a finalist I.E have 3 p papers left, and not from the UK. But from a country in the EU.
January 13, 2019 at 4:36 pm #501223Is there instances where you guys think that there is no chance of passing because you did absolutely terrible in the paper , and then to get a pass?
August 6, 2018 at 10:11 pm #466520i think i got it , since the discount rate used for the obligation increased, the obligation in PV terms will be smaller , this does not effect asset as its FV? So the net effect would be a reduction in liability?
July 16, 2018 at 12:23 am #462660First time, 68 Pass.
June 30, 2018 at 11:16 pm #460624The most significant factor, ACCA is recognized much more in my place, that’s why the switch.
Also, I feel the CIMA case study is very challenging, as you have to remember the previous 3 subjects you have learned to be able to do the case study. Which means studying them again.
My plan is to finish ACCA, and then do CMA(https://www.imanet.org) , which is only 2 exams instead of 14, but requires a bacholers degree or a professional qualifications such as acca for entry , then i would also have a management accounting qualification under my belt with ACCA.
So ACCA, CMA Combination, I think they would complement each other.
