1. You can download your certificate.
2. Fill out PER unless you work for an approved employer and claiming exemptions
3. Update work experience
4. If you didn’t go into myacca and tick yes to have your name on latest passed finalist list then it won’t show up.January 15, 2020 at 6:06 am #558720I would suggest not relying on others experience but choose based on what field you may go into and also what subjects you had liked earlier on.
AAA remains the easiest of all papers for me.
AFM I found to be difficult.
I cannot comment on APM.Both options I chose needed thorough knowledge of the syllabus. AAA requires using the knowledge and applying it to the case study. There is lots of easy marks in this exam as every line of the case has vital info to score marks.
AFM on the other hand I did twice from 41-60. You have to also learn entire syllabus. There are many calculations but once you understand them, you can gain some easy marks however the written parts are less common sense but rather more knowledge use being apply to the case.
I personally notice the examiner moving away from a lot of calculations or giving the calculations and you have to interpret.
For me this paper is technical and is either you know or don’t. I also found that whilst the topics doesn’t change and the calculations are straightforward no two past papers are ever the same. The examiner is very creative I add a lot of curveballs but it’s only 50 needed so…Both papers extreme time management needed. I could have barely read and think and write in order for me to cover the paper.
So practice practice practice & attempting all parts is important.Good luck
January 13, 2020 at 5:10 am #558139Hi AAA is a paper that requires strong exam technique. Having the knowledge is the foundation for which you’ll form your answers based on the information given the case. No AAA exam requires regurgitation of knowledge but rather taking that knowledge and applying it specific for the case. Something students tend to do including myself is answer the question that we would have liked asked or just see a particular word in the question and say yes and know and start writing what we know on this topic but it’s never about the knowledge but more about the case scenario and answering the question asked. This exam has lots of ways to score easy marks but students get bog down by any complex bits or what we don’t know.
The examiner has 5 exam technique articles. Use that as your starting point to help you understand where you might have went wrong in terms of answering questions.
Tonight I became an affiliate. I passed my last exam AFM. AAA still remains my best paper to study of all other and Audit is the field I wish to go into. If you have any specific questions. I will help as best as I can.

January 12, 2020 at 3:24 am #557848@nieffee & Donna and ferjanna and maman & this rest of those who have been through a lot, your stories are a real inspiration for the new folks like George. So much happened during the ACCA journey, it’s amazing how we pulled through. Those with kids you all are true heroes. I can’t even imagine what it’s like juggling acca plus kids, work and other commitments. I feel like instead of ACCA posting tips from prize winners they should ask newly qualified to share their stories because it’s a huge huge sacrifice and commitment on so many behalf. That feeling of wanting to give up but still going at it. The tears, the joy, the resits, scraping up the pennies for payments, the unexpected pass, the depression, the anxiety, the insomnia and every other thing. ACCA students are incredible. Whatever the results know that you are amazing and don’t ever give up on your dreams!
Good luck everyone.January 12, 2020 at 3:12 am #557847@jamesborn5 we had similar likeness towards papers only I didn’t do ATX as an option and I got exempted from F8.
When I wrote P2 ie SBR I was certain I had failed but I managed a 53 so you never know with ACCA. Waiting on the dreadful AFM to quietly peace out and move on with my life.January 11, 2020 at 7:58 pm #557824@seeyun I really hope you get through tomorrow. If God forbids you need help with exam technique for AAA I will definitely help. I placed 13 worldwide on my sitting.
@ritaalbu well done! It’s a long hard journey but we have grit and indomitable will and we will get through.
@naz2 Jibri you are a great motivator on here.January 11, 2020 at 7:32 pm #557821Other than the talk about the theories, the chat is quiet which to me is boring! I like coming on here in the lead up to results to read comments as it helps calm my nerves but without the forbidden topic, it’s just silence.
So i’ll start a game for anyone else like me and interested.Copy below and post what the journey was like for you:
