To relieve the stress and anxiety let change comment:
Can we share our Next agenda after qualified,
Type of Job or career we intend to go for and what we want to do with our membership …….or Anybody can suggest anything to talk aboutGreat idea!!
I’m probably going to stay in my job for a while anyway – I’m here 5 years and working in audit. Maybe next year I will move jobs but for now I’m happy where I am.
Also, what’s everyone’s plans for the weekend to help keep their mind off things? I’m going to be doing some funiture shopping. And just hope Sunday passes very quickly! Always the one weekend I want to fly by!
January 11, 2019 at 3:08 pm #500847Received the March exam email also – little much to sent it to students a few days before the exam results!!
Could have waited until Tuesday!
January 11, 2019 at 9:44 am #500797Okay, so I decided to check yesterday in the end!
I’m a finalist.
In the morning, I could the tick box and M.
Then it changed and I couldn’t go onto the page source and the tick box disappeared.
The tick post reappeared but I couldn’t get onto the page source still.I checked the above in relation to page source on the welcome page and saw “affiliate”
Can’t see any changes to certificates – not sure where to look for this though. Was in one place on myacca and it didn’t give me options to review certs.
When I looked at the portal link, I had a grey and white page.
I haven’t logged in since yesterday. I’m waiting until Monday now.
January 10, 2019 at 7:59 am #500544The temptation to check is there but now with the email from ACCA about them monitoring this, I don’t want to check!
Congrats to all who have the M!! For those who haven’t, never give up! You are nearly there.

Failed with 31%. Very surprising and shocking to me. I did quite well. Please can anyone tell me if we can challenge our result with ACCA? Because I can’t accept this anymore. Failed third time. 1st time with 44%, then 40 and now 31%. Unbelievable. While I agree with sonyam11, it could to worth it to see overall how you did per question. They well let you know if you passed or failed each question. I did this once on a paper and it showed me that I had failed Q1 but passed the other questions. My mark didn’t change when I did my review. I had gotten 49% on that paper which was P7.
Failed my second attempt! This is my last exam… but going to try again.

@accastudent54321 did you passed?I failed :/ But I saw students@ on ebusiness so I had set myself for a fail.
I’ll wait for official confirmation though at midnight. But I can’t see it being different
July 15, 2018 at 12:16 pm #462407I checked this out.
I did a different exam (and passed) in March than the one I did in June. So I’m taking it to be real in which case I better get the books back out…

Did u see ppl who claimed both the link theory and ebusiness was working for them but still failed ?Only one mentioned! But I believe that comment was mentioned earlier on in this thread too. I’ll try find the page number for you to read.
I was more interested to see people who couldn’t access the link and saw student but did end up passing.
So for me I’m waiting on P6 Ireland and I cannot access the link and I see students@ on ebusiness ?
Best of luck everyone!!!

Yemibabs – Give it a few days to rest then get back on it and start revising again. This was my 3rd attempt and i onyl just passed, which i am very surprised about (i thought i would be up in the 60+ range with the amount i wrote and valid points) I didnt feel i done anythig different this time round, i always use tht PEA method (Point, Explain, Apply) to get the marks. Just must have been lucky this time. The “Theory of the Login” has been around for a while – if you go to the countdown threads, if it was your last exam, people found out a way to see if you had passed or not by using 2 old login screens to MyAcca, prior to results being released. If you had passed and were affiliate then it would shoud “contact members@acca.com” and the other login would show details – this would mean you had passed
If you logged in and it stated contact “students@acca.com” and the the other login shows and error screen then you were still classed as a student and had failed.
I was under the category of the error screen and still showing student@acca.com and i passed – proving that theold login theory doesnt work and shouldnt be used to determine a pass/fail.I actually was just reading the March 2018 results and there were a few people in there who mentioned they didn’t have access to the links and still passed. Also some people have shown replies in older countdowns with the same thing.
So fingers and toes crossed!! There is still hope anyway for those (including myself) seeing students.
I have my PERs done and time signed off… Just need this exam result!

Can u say where it says student ?Once I have signed in, on the welcome page. It says students@
Think it’s the same place where people are either seeing students or members.
July 14, 2018 at 9:10 am #462200Mine says students on ebusiness.
The options at the side are
Welcome

Change Password
Contact ACCAGeneral Details option disappeared a few days ago.
I’m curious to see if anyone in previous countdown saw students but did actually pass..
T minus approx 39 hours… I’ve never been so nervous. But I’ve plans for today and tomorrow to try keep my mind off these results!

I wouldn’t read much into it. Previously the same for people who passed.I think I’ll take it with a pinch of salt as I did read others who couldn’t access/still had student or S and did actually pass.
Roll on Monday 12am!!

ebusiness is now showing this message at bottom:Students should note that, in order to maintain confidentiality of examination results, ACCA’s eBusiness website will be available for viewing/amending limited personal details only, until after the results have been distributed. You will therefore be unable to make payments by credit or debit card on-line until after the results have been distributed.
Also myACCA is under ESSENTIAL MAINTENANCE
Yeah, when I sign in, the details page is gone now.
I guess this is to stop people trying to access before results day.

So the results are already uploaded? Any idea?I heard they don’t get upload until the Thursday before the results day.

I am awaiting my final result, I sat P5 for the first time and have passed all other P papers at the first attempt so hoping this will be the same! PER and objectives done too so will apply for membership if I get that magical 50. I believe the P5 June 18 sitting was relatively straight forward. Fingers crossed.Like you, I have just to pass the exam and I can apply for membership.
Fingers crossed!!

I am waiting for P6 and thats my last paper. Does anyone know when acca will publish answers for the paper as it still says coming soon on website.I would imagine maybe in the days coming up to results. But I’m not entirely sure.

In the last countdown, others claim they received emails from learning providers. Did anyone receive any this time about preparing for next session.I received a “book your next session exam” email from ACCA last week but I believe that’s a formality and probably because we would still be students until the results get uploaded online. I heard this happens in the few days before results day. I would think that maybe it’s at this stage that any members would be switched over and wouldn’t receive session updates. I’m hoping so anyway!

yes I have received emails to prepare for exams and how to pass acca exam however I believe those are general emails . Sill trying to stay positiveI received a “prepare for next session” email last week too. I would think that it’s because we would still all be students right now. I read before that exam results are not uploaded until a few days before the results day. I would think that it would be at that stage, people are switched from student to member where successful and would then receive member emails. I’m hoping this is the case anyway lol

I sat the Irish variant. It was hard as any high level tax exam is bound to be but if you knew your stuff and practiced enough past paper questions to learn then it become an okay exam.
I think it is a fair examiner. The exam is time pressured but still more than doable in the 195 minutes.
I highly recommend Julie from accountancy school if anyone is looking for tuition for the Irish variant. Her lectures and advice are brilliant.
Q2 was very, very similar in parts to a question asked in 2012 on revenue audits. If you practiced that one then you knew at least 3 of the 7 issues well enough to score full marks for this question I reckon. There were minor twist like I think the staff in issue 4 IIRC were low paid this time where they were high paid on 2012 so you used the lower tax rate. But that is all.
Some issues with the exam hall which I will leave for the ACCA feedback forum. We could hear girls on a school tour giggling at times during the exam making a lot of noise and then all the exits except the lift were closed off when leaving the exam. A normally excellent venue was disappointing this time.
Overall I gave it my best and have no regrets. Answered all parts, nothing scared me too much, etc. And the difficulty of the exam vs time was well balanced.
Irish variant too.
I thought it was an okay paper. Some tricky parts but I hope I have done enough to get me over the line!
I studied with Julie and I would absolutely recommend her to anyone
April 16, 2018 at 8:32 am #447185Pass with 51% after many attempts!!
