    Test of controls are Enquire, Inspect, Observe and Recalculate. Analytical procedures are not a test of control

    What i don’t understand is if ACCA know we struggle with the time allocated to answer all the questions, why do they feel the need to put in ridiculous, complicated, long company names for both the client and the auditors?? ‘Lemon Quartz’, ‘Amerite’ or something similarly silly, ‘Turquoise’. I just have the time to keep going back and looking at the company name. Keep it simple please ACCA!!

    Failed with 40%. This was my first attempt and sitting again in June. I was expecting at least 70% after a quick tally in the last 5 mins of the exam (even allowing for my own marking error), so quite shocked I got such a low mark. Clearly I don’t have a clue where I am going wrong or what content I thought I knew but actually don’t! Onwards and upwards but I’m sure not taking this subject as a P exam!!
