I think there is a mistake in the answer 6_Acquisition of PPE (p.128): the balancing figure (cash – additions) should be 1,300 but not 1350.
    Could you please correct it?

    Hi,

Welcome to Open Tuition. Thanks for spotting the typo in the notes, we’ll get it updated as soon as possible. If you use the lecture notes in conjunction with the recorded lectures you will see that the answer in the recorded lecture is the correct figure of 1,300.

    Thanks

    Hi there,

I am not sure if Chapter 30 Example 5 Income Tax computation 1. has the correct answer.

Can you confirm that the correct answer is £96,250 or highlight the error in my computation:

    Accounting Profit £350,000
    Add Depreciation £45,000
    Disallowed Exp £20,000
    Subtotal £415,000
    Less TA Depcn (£30,000)
    Total £385,000

    X 25% = £96,250

    Thanks very much.

    JM

    Hi,

Yes the notes seem to have a typing mistake in them. Your answer above is correct and is what is seen in the video.

    I’ll get the notes updated.

    Thanks
