Hi sir, if in the question they ask whether an acquisition or merger is worthwhile it’s value of combined company less the sum of value of the individual companies
But for MBO whether it’s worthwhile or not is the equity or debt they are giving minus the value of the new company?

It is the other way round – the value of the company less what they paying for it.
