Chris , i saw that some important items were left untouched in your lectures and they are capable of failing any student who solely depend on open tuition.
I have done this FR 3 times where as the other videos on financial accounting f3 & year FA2 were done once.
Other Issues on CSOFP like the contingent consideration were completed untouched in your lectures and notes and i do not know the reason why. This particular scenario came out in our last FR papers and it looks strange and as a resulted was left untouched 20 full marks. Plus items on impairments another 20 full marks. I hope in your new videos this will be corrected .
Kind regards
February 2, 2019 at 2:35 pm #503935Hi,
We do our best on a limited budget, don’t forget what you’re getting is entirely free, and with limited time/budget it can sometimes be a challenge to get it all done. It will get done at some point soon.
With regards to your points above then I do not believe a lack of videos is your downfall, sorry. It might mean you don’t score super high marks but it wouldn’t mean that you would fail. You can comfortably pass with the resources.
As to saying that contingent consideration was 20 marks in the exam and an impairment was 20 marks, then that is just plain ridiculous. There would be 2 or 3 marks for the contingent element, and 1 mark for the impairment.
F3 and FA2 are both much easier than FR, and this paper is meant to be a challenge. You need to rise up to it and confront the ares you are weakest on. I’ll do my best to get the videos done but please don’t use a lack of a few videos to be your downfall.
Thanks
February 4, 2019 at 11:06 am #504109maybe i did not use the right word . I was confused when contingent consideration came up and never even attempted to touch because it will distort all other efforts.
However thanks for your lecture and videos it fun watching though and lively.
February 4, 2019 at 8:56 pm #504191Hi,
You have to realise that you are not going to get everything correct, and that if you make a mistake you are given follow through marks even though you have used the wrong number. So focus on completing the question in the time available using your own numbers.
Glad you’ve enjoyed the lectures, and hope it all works out for you this time.
Thanks
