Transfer of excess depreciation from revaluation surplus to RE

IF it is not mentioned in the question that the company transfers excess depreciation from revaluation surplus to RE, should we do it anyway because it is considered good practice?
Or are there other specific rules that we ought to follow in such a situation?

It would usually say, but if it doesn’t then we’d assume that they do as it is the best option for the company.
