If we are calculating the depreciation on the cabin fitting after adding the cost (7500+4500) i.e 12,000*6/18, why aren’t we calculating the depreciation of the reparied engine on 9000 ( 6000+ 3000 ) why is depreciation calculated only on 6000*1000/15000 ? Shouldn’t it be 9000*1000/15000 ? If the first one is correct why we including 9000 as cost to subtract the total depreciation of 3400 to get carrying amount of 5600 rather than 6000 ( because we calculated depreciation of 6000 and not 9000 ) ?

Hi,
I don’t have the Becker materials, sorry. I’ve tried looking for the June 2009 exam online but there is no Flightline titled question in there. Pacemaker, Pricewell, Coaltown, and Waxwork are the only questions in there.
Thanks
