    Hi Sir

Can you help me understand he theory behind this question. please

A learning curve would be expected to apply in the production of items which exhibit which of the following features? Select ALL that apply.

    ? Simple to make- FALSE
? Made largely by labor efforts- TRUE
    ? Mass-produced- NOT SURE
    ? New product-TRUE
    ? Continuous production-NOT SURE

Answer says one of the conditions for learning curves is for there to be continuous production- which I kind of understand. without continuous production there is not an opportunity to learn and get quicker at production. How about mass produced? what’s the logic behind why mass production is not a condition of a learning curve? Is it because when you mass produce you only produce a few times? so there is not an opportunity to produce and continually learn?

Mass production is supposed to imply high automation and autmated processes do not enjoy learning.

However, it is a requirement of a good learning effect that many identical items are going to be produced, but there has to be a high manual involvement.
