    Hello Sir Mike!
I wanted to ask a question about paper based F5 exam(This is my first paper based exam and I am attempting it this december).
Since we know that Section A and B when combined make up 60 of the total 100 marks in the exam,do you think examiner can fail a candidate even if he gets 50 or 50+ marks from the mcqs and mtqs only?
My teacher told me that it is essential to solve 100% of the exam otherwise most students fail.
So is it possible that one can pass only by getting the mcqs and mtqs right?

Mike does not teach Paper F5 (and never has!!) 🙂

In theory it is possible to pass the exam without doing Section C – all that matters is that you get 50 marks or more, in total.

The problem however is that it would be remarkable for someone to get 50 marks just from A and B – although some of the questions are easy enough, some of them are very tricky.

That is why it is important to attempt all of the sections – that doesn’t mean finish all of them (you might get stuck on some or run out of time on some), but at least attempt them all and then be more confident of passing.
