    I’ve taken sessions with my tutor at college. Basically he’d taught me P2 last semester and I chose to offer P2 in September. College was offering revision classes so I took them.

    So in the mock exam. We did the cash flow. I got 27.5
    In 1b I got 4/9
    And in c I got 5/6

    So that’s like 36.5 from 50

    Then came question 2 and 3

    In question 2 I scored 9.5/25

    And in question 3 I got 5.5/25

    Basically. If the question one isn’t a cash flow I’m screwed.

    Oh and I finished the mock like 40 minutes early.

    So what advice can you give me?

    I’m planning to do past papers question 2 and 3 a lot and also work a little bit more on spl and even lesser but on sfp.

    I’m going to do q 2 and 3 like write down the answer. Read the answer and then write it down again. And repeat.

    Any further advice for your favourite student?

    Thanks for all your help. I really hope to pass this paper first time and get rid of the nightmare.

    Hi there, well done, a lot of people find cash flow more challenging. Are you able to share the cash flow case study question on here?

    Thanks

    @eagledave

    Cash flows are very easy.

    I thought they were tough too! But then I watched the revision lecture Chris made on it. He solved the June 16 paper. He gave cash flows a structure which was easy to follow.

    The one piece of advice he gave which I can not recommend enough is, do your t accounts. If you do those you are set.

    I could take pictures of the mock I did and upload them here but I don’t think that has anything to do with me knowing cash flows. It’s honestly just about following Chris on what he has done. I’m not exaggerating. I watched his revision lecture twice and it helped give me the structure I’m supposed to follow which is so important in an exam which requires time management

    Cash flows are straight forward but people fail them because they don’t practice it. It’s especially important this time because if there is a pattern in the questions tested, cash flows are going to appear next. I’ll be doing work on the sfp and spl so I can at least pass the question but my main focus has been on cash flows.

    In conclusion, I’ll just say this
    1. Follow Chris
    2. Practice
    3. You’ve passed the cash flow question.

    I honestly had no idea how to do cash flows until I watched Chris’ lectures.

    @ saqlainrattansi

    Thanks very much indeed. Yes you are right, I think the lecture on cash flow here is a good one, I will watch again and will keep practising it until I get used to it.

    Thanks again for the advice and all the best on Tuesday!!

    @eagledave

    Just want to make sure you’re referring to the revision lecture. Not the class lecture. The revision lecture where he solves a past exam question

    Yes you’re right, it’s a long one, but worth it.

    So if I’ve done my maths correctly then you’ve passed and got 53, so don’t panic! You’ve done more than enough work and mock exams are usually harder than the real one.

    If it isn’t SCF tomorrow then again don’t panic as you’re more than capable of passing the other type of questions too.

    I think you’ll haven’t learnt from your questions 2 and 3 so you’ll do better than this in the real exam. I very much doubt that you’ll have 40 minutes spare in the real exam either, so just make sure that you answer everything you need to and use the time available.

    Good luck!

    Thank you for your advice and all the materials here. I’ve finally managed to calm myself down right now and I know now its all just about how I go and apply my knowledge in the exam.

    I’m trying to cram in some stuff tonight and I’ll do some reviewing tomorrow as well. I hope I’ve done enough 🙂
