    Sir,
    1. Lesgislature Power
    2 .Executive Power
    3. Judiciary Power
Are the above powers part of legal system?
And does the term”Separation of power” mean that there must me a separation of Power within the legal system.
Or is it something totally different??

    Hi Sourav,

The executive is essentially made up al public authorities and refers to the UK Government ( at present it is Prime Minister Boris Johnson and his cabinet that make up government). The government have power to introduce and propose laws. Local authorities also have power to implement delegated laws like bye laws that affect local areas but not the whole of the uk.

The legislative power is operated through Parliament which includes the government and also cross party members of Parliament. The legislature have power to enact Acts of Parliament.

The Judicial power is exercised through judges making decisions in cases that go to court. Essentially judges have power to make law.

So as you can see there is clearly a separation of power when it comes to who has power to make law in the uk. Remember Parliament is the supreme law making function.

    I hope this clarifies.

    Vijay
