    Hello
SBL was my first P level exam and during march 2023 exam my score was 44%. In June, I have appeared and cleared SBR exam. Now in September exam I am planning to take 2 papers. I am still preparing AFM (completion around 60%). Is it better for me to take AFM & SBL or AFM & AAA? For AAA i have presumed knowledge from CA course. Please guide me considering the time constraints for september exam.

It is hard to guide you as I do not know your ability in AAA and AFM. We are now near the end of July so there is not a huge amount of time until the September sittings, but I don’t know how many hours per week you can study.

Though I’m working in the dark I would suggest you concentrate on AFM. Attempt SBL too if you like but don’t fall into the trap of spending time on both but not enough time on either.

I am full time student now, on exam leaves. Thank you, I will consider your suggestion. Last time my SBL exam was disaster, barely attempted upto 70 marks due to poor time management. Reading the case study consumed so much time and have to read case study again when answering the questions. Any tips on how to manage time on SBL exam

I assume you have noticed that the SBL exam format has changed from September 2023 onwards (little change to the syllabus content). See here:

    https://opentuition.com/topic/attention-major-changes-to-the-sbl-exam-from-september-2023-onwards/

This should make things a bit easier for you. Make sure you look at the ACCA specimen paper.
