There are no major changes in the SBL Syllabus for September 2023 but there are major changes to the exam format. See here:
https://www.accaglobal.com/gb/en/student/exam-entry-and-administration/about-our-exams/changes-to-sbl—sept-23.htmlIn summary:
1 Pre-seen material will be released by ACCA two weeks before the exam. This will give the background information about the organisation being dealt with in the case study and will reduce the amount of reading and re-reading you have to do during the exam. Some additional material will be presented in the exam.
2 The time for the exam will fall from 4 hours to 3 hours 15 minutes.
3 The exam will now have three compulsory tasks, with each task having a varying number of parts and total marks.
4 There will still be 20 marks for professional skills. All five professional skills will be covered once in the exam.Because the syllabus content has only minor changes our notes will not change significantly. You are safe studying the current notes for the September exam, though a new edition will be issued in June or July.
April 15, 2023 at 1:57 pm #682668I’m wondering what will happen to the exam fees?
April 17, 2023 at 2:10 am #682831Failed march 23 seating with a 47%. I’m contemplating on whether to retake it in June or September with the new format.
Can anyone advice?
April 19, 2023 at 6:09 am #683174In June. As your knowledge will be still fresh. I failled in December and retaked in March with 51%.
