    Hi Sourav,

    For your exam you are not required to memorise the names or facts of the cases. Instead it is the principle of law that arises from case law that you need to remember and be familiar with.

    Yeah, But do you mean by principle of law. Are you talking about Golden Rule,Literal Rule, Mischief Rule, Purposive Rule

    Hi Saurav

    There are 2 different questions you appear to raise:

    1) Are the cases of Fisher v Bell etc examinable to which the answer is No. You do not need to remember the names of cases. You only need to remember the point of law that arises from the case for example the point of law from Fisher v Bell is that items in a shop window are not offers but instead an example of an invitation to treat.

    2) Re statutory rules of interpretation, you need to understand what the literal rule, golden rule etc mean. Id recommend you watch the recorded lectures on this topic and if still uncertain please feel free to ask a more specific question.
