Why the group has 2m cash up from the right issue?
Hi,
If Tigret, the subsidiary, issue shares for $5m cash then the cash received from the parent is ignored as it is intra-group. The remainder of the cash is received from the NCI, who are outside of the group and therefore the cash received from them will be a cash inflow to the group.
As we now own 60% of Tigret, the NCI own the other 40% and so the group will have received 40% of the $5m.
Thanks
