Unnecessary stress for me, but I got the token after calling ACCA however, I cannot install the application (it keeps showing me that this is a wrong exam/wrong detail) while I got both of them correct. Call ACCA, ACCA refers me to contact ProctorU. ProctorU is not able to check this … Wondering if I should install it before the exam, or on the exam date?
March 25, 2021 at 3:06 pm #615188I suggest you watch the video here https://www.accaglobal.com/gb/en/student/exam-entry-and-administration/computer-based-exams/on-demand-cbes/remote-on-demand-cbe-info.html
See from 9:45 of the video here about advance preparation. At around 11:25 it says you need to download your ACCA exam delivery software IN ADVANCE of sitting your exam.
You will find other links to support and FAQs on that page too.
March 26, 2021 at 12:50 pm #615243Hello Kim, thank you. Just FYI for future students who will take on-demand CBE, ACCA just updated their examination software from v28 to v29, so it won’t allow corporate laptop to install this (even without VPN). So it’s better to have a backup laptop that is non-corporate setup (I had to rush and borrow a Window one as my Macbook won’t work as well). Wondering how it will work for June exam normal CBE, as I was doing fine with my corporate laptop for March exam CBE.
March 26, 2021 at 1:29 pm #615246@mainai92 – thank you very much indeed for taking time to provide feedback – I am following this up now.
March 27, 2021 at 7:21 am #615293Hi there, any advice as I am writing my MA CBE exam in an hour and have not received my ACCA Token to install the exam software.
Their telephone lines as discontinued due to COVID and I have not received any response on email…
March 27, 2021 at 8:18 am #615303Per my links above ACCA advise to contact ACCA if not received 24 hours before scheduled start time – it seems unlikely you will get a response now on a Saturday morning and before 9am. Perhaps just check any spam/junk/trash folders to make sure you haven’t missed it.
April 12, 2021 at 5:35 am #617046Hi Kim,
I received the following email on the result day:
————————————————-
I’m sorry to inform you that ACCA is unable to issue a result to you for your AFM and APM exams on 03/03/2021 and 05/03/2021 which were sat remotely.Unfortunately, an isolated technical issue occurred with your exams meaning that we are unable to provide a result reflective of your exam performance.
……..
—————————————————-And they just saying sorry and will refund the exam fees, which is actually unfair (How about the time and effort I paid?). I tried my best to answer the questions and submitted the mitigating. The remote procters acknowledged the technical issues occurred during both exams and chose to continue the exams. But ACCA just decided they were unable to issue results……
April 12, 2021 at 7:42 am #617086@Scott292929 – please note that you have posted this to a wrong post – you sat session CBE not on-demand CBE. I think the alternative to refund in these circumstances would be a fail, If you could have been passed – you would have been passed. If you were failed you would not get the refund.
April 30, 2021 at 7:26 am #619242Hi Kim,
Does the CBE platform show timer during the exam or we have to use another alternative to watch the time?
Thank you.
April 30, 2021 at 6:08 pm #619329As in the specimen ondemand exams there is a countdown timer.
June 3, 2021 at 4:43 pm #622977Hi,
I have been having some trouble preparing to take the BT exam. Earlier in the year ACCA had said that we could not use Macs for the on-demand CBEs, but that they could be used for session CBEs. I am using a MacBook Pro and so I purchased a computer with Windows 7 on it. The system’s requirements PDF produced by ACCA said that Windows 7 was compatible, however, when I completed the systems’ check I was informed that it was not compatible. I was then given a list of operating systems that were compatible by ProctorU. One of the systems listed was Mac OS. I then contacted ACCA and asked if I could use Windows 7 or Mac, and was informed that Windows 7 is “strictly prohibited for exam delivery” and that I could use Mac.
I am nervous to book my exam if previously ACCA said that Mac could not be used, and is still saying on their website that Windows 7 can be used.
Has anyone else used Mac for an on-demand CBE? If so, did all go well?
Thanks for any responses.

ParthAugust 14, 2021 at 10:02 am #631531See the Q “What am I allowed to have on my desk during the exam?” on this page https://www.accaglobal.com/lk/en/student/exam-entry-and-administration/computer-based-exams/on-demand-cbes/remote-on-demand-cbe-info/remote-on-demand-cbe-faqs.html
See Laptop Option 1 in the referenced “Handy Guide” – it is permitted.

Parth.August 18, 2021 at 6:52 am #631892Good morning Parth – the title of this thread is “Remote ON-DEMAND CBE FAQs”.
This is the last thread for “Remote SESSION CBEs” https://opentuition.com/topic/remote-invigilation-session-cbes-7-11-june-2021-acca-recommendations … I will be making a new post for September 2021 shortly.
The first link on that post takes you to this page https://www.accaglobal.com/gb/en/student/exam-entry-and-administration/computer-based-exams/remote-session-exams/before-you-book.html and at point 3 “View our guide on how to setup your desk and room” – separate keyboard again option in laptop set up option 1.
August 18, 2021 at 7:01 am #631894Thank you so much Kim.
You are a life saver 🙂November 18, 2021 at 3:31 pm #640989I booked an acca remote on-demand paper through British council but gave a wrong email address while booking because of which i didn’t get the exam link through mail. the payment has been done.
how can i resolve the issue?
I have contacted British Council and requested them to change my email address.
I got a mail from them saying they have requested ACCA to do the same.
But I haven’t gotten any mail from Acca as of now.
I also tried contacting Acca but there number seems to be unavailable as of now. Please help me out sir
November 18, 2021 at 5:58 pm #641018We don’t have access to ACCA systems, so all you can do is contact them through the various methods available here https://www.accaglobal.com/gb/en/footer-toolbar/contact-us.html
I’m sorry but I don’t know what else to suggest!

December 8, 2021 at 6:33 pm #643230This is the post for ON-DEMAND CBEs – i.e. Applied Knowledge 2 hour exams.
You will find information about remote SESSION CBEs here https://opentuition.com/topic/remote-invigilation-session-cbes-6-10-september-2021-acca-recommendations – I am sorry but I am out for the evening so it is unlikely that I will be able to answer further specific questions at the last minute.
December 12, 2021 at 7:23 am #644015Do CBE exams save the exam automatically?
December 12, 2021 at 8:44 pm #644100During my remote exam for SBR the Procter insisted i remove my two pieces of paper before the exam despite my protests.
He then did not provide assistance when my internet connection failed,( when eventually calling me after 20 minutes of waiting) he then cancelled my exam despite me having 1 hour remaining and an alternative wifi connection being available.
I now have to redo the exam at 5:15am on 15th december?
Is this normal?
