February 23, 2021 at 7:50 am #611395Here https://www.accaglobal.com/gb/en/student/exam-entry-and-administration/covid-19-exam-availability.html it says:
“Remote exams have also been made available to students based in India who were unable to make a centre booking before the exam deadline.”
I cannot say for sure because I don’t know what communication you have been sent but it could be that some centre-based exams will go ahead but with reduced capacity.
Are you being offered choice or to take remote exam rather than defer to June?
If choice – and I am speculating here – then I guess there is the chance that if not enough candidates choose remote that some will have to defer in any case. Before booking remote you must make the necessary system checks check that you can set up your workspace appropriately, etc. See this post https://opentuition.com/topic/remote-on-demand-cbe-faqs from the ACCA webpage you will find a GUIDE which you MUST download and read. It is not a mitigating circumstance on the exam day if the system doesn’t work but wasn’t tested or if the screen is smaller than recommended specification. - AuthorPosts
