The second question requires to calculate the EPS for September 2000 and 2001.
However when calculating the EPS for 2001, they take into account the 14000 and divided into 2 ( which gives value for the six months) i do understand.
What im confused about is the 14000 includes bonus of 3600 which in the question they have halfed it. Why did they half this if its bonue issue… should it not be taken as whole value of 3600 as if its for whole year?
Hi,
I’ve not got the question to hand but is it not because we adjust all the shares that have been in issue prior to the bonus issue by the bonus fraction? Or, are the pro-rating due to the timing of the issue?
Thanks
