4y ago#1The purpose of a briefing note is to provide succinct information so a summary and conclusion are inappropriate.
A report might or might not require a conclusion - it depends on its purpose. For example, it might simply be setting out pros or cons or issues about a takeover or it might ask for a recommendation. Never bother with a summary.
