Hi
I am aiming for the Dec exam after a 5 year gap in ACCA. I have passed until P9 and want to Pass SBR before SBL.
I work full time as a management accountant so I can probably do 1-2 hours daily during week days and about 5 hours each day on weekend maybe a little bit more. I also have two kids so its not that easy for me. I also have about 7 days of holidays left which I can take but I cant take any in Dec before exam because of month end procedures. My plan was to listen to lectures for a topic and then do revision kit questions for same topic and then move to next topic. For example I listened to all Group related lectures and on BPP Kit I tried to attempt a question related to group but I did not understand most of it because it had adjustments related to other IASs and IFRSs which I haven’t prepared yet. I am upset but still want to pass in Dec. I have to change my plan of action. I am now thinking about watching all the remaining lectures first by end of Sep and then starting practice and do that throughout Oct and Nov.
Please let me know what your thoughts are and if you have any suggestions tips etc. regarding how I should approach. Or let me know how you would prepare for it if you were in my situation.
Thanks in advance

You cannot answer the questions on groups without having covered the entire syllabus as the other standards will be examined as part of these questions.
I’d suggest that you work through all of the class notes and the questions/examples in each chapter of the study text. Once you have done this you will then be in a position to be able to answer the exam style questions, but even then this will be a challenge as the questions are tough. The key is to learn from each time you answer an exam question as this allows you to increase your knowledge.
If you stick to this, using the hours you’ve set aside, then you will be fine come the final exam.
Thanks
