Here the medium being unacceptable can’t be the reason as Georgia posted a letter at the same time as Constantinos. Her letter arrived before the deadline, his letter was delated arrived after the deadline.
The previous part to the question said that Thanasis could be required to purchase a replacement print for Georgia but this part says that Constantinos can’t claim a print because his letter arrived after the deadline.
The full scenario is:
Thanasis owns an art gallery. On Monday he placed a notice in the window of his gallery that said “2 copies of a very rare Anderson print – $4,000 each”.
Constantinos and Georgia were keen to acquire the prints but thought the price was too high. They each offered $3,500 but this offer was rejected by Thanasis, although he makes a counter-offer by saying he’ll accept $3,800. He also agrees to give them time to think about it by leaving the offer open until midday the following Monday providing they each pay $100 immediately, which they both do.
On the Saturday they were called away to Athens on business but before they left they mailed a letter to Thanasis accepting the offer to buy at $3,800.
Georgia’s letter arrived at 9:30am on Monday morning but Constantinos’ letter was delayed and didn’t arrive until the Tuesday.
How come Georgia can claim a print, but Constantinos can’t given they both accepted before the deadline?

So now we revert to the ‘ordinary’ rule about acceptance being communicated to the offeror.
Georgia DID communicate but Constantinos didn’t
OK?
