    Hey!

So I have been going through OT forums about prev. exams and I see that:
    Qn 1
    In Sept 1 5 IS
    In Dec 15 SFP
    In March 16 SFP
    In June 16 C\F
    In Sept 16 SFP
    In Dec 16 IS
    In March 17 SFP
    In June 17 SFP
    September 17 ??

Based on this, if you were to make a prediction, Do you think its highly likely SFP will not be tested in Sept?

Also, after compiling this, I predicted that June 15 was SFP and I was correct! and since there was a SFP in Sept 16 before the IS in Dec 16, That makes it extremely likely that C/F will be tested in September 17

Also, Why is cashflow and P&L not tested as often as much as SoFP? Like do you have any idea about what the mentality of the examiner is when he does this?

And finally, could you please compile a list of questions which come in the previous exams with the help of the students who attempt the exams? It would make it much easier for someone to reference these

    Hi,

If you think that cash flow will make an appearance you might get an unpleasant surprise if it doesn’t. I never make any predictions about what will appear and I do not listen when people do predict and get it right.

The approach that you need to take is that you need to be prepared for any of the financial statements that could be examined, so that is the SFP, SPLOCI and SCFs. Don’t take any chances.

SPLOCI and SCFs are examined less frequently as there is less scope to examine some of the accounting standards within the syllabus.

    Thanks

    Hi there,

I saw your post and totally forgot about it…I get open my exam today and your post floods back into my mind. Sadly, I didn’t give cashflows as much attention and I have paid the price!!.

What’s your analysis saying for December P2 exam Q1??

I really hope you have passed for you were on the ball coupled with your mock exams.

    @annette

I honestly thought my post would receive more attention since I was making a prediction but oh well.

Yeah I did pretty well on the exam I think. I wrote sense for about 2 hours and 15 minutes and used the rest of the time to just fill up the paper.

December should be SFP. If I have to put a number on it, its 85%. I give 14% to SPL because of the “just maybe” element. and 1% to the SCF because of the “Maybe maybe maybe element”

December should be SFP, then March should be SPL and then June should be SFP.

Then we have that change coming up so I dont have any patterns on that so yeah haha

    Do you think you’ll pass?

    Mambo!

Thanx for the reply…..I was well impressed with your preparation technique and amazed when I got to the exam. So I have adopted that technique for my P4 and P6 exams too.

I followed your analysis and had got SFP for Dec too….I’m good on SFP and SPLOCI so will continue revising and polishing up on other weak areas while I wait for results. I hope and pray to GOD I complete this December.

With regards to a response to your message I guess people don’t read through Tutor questions hence…..

All the best with your next exam. Kwaheri.
