    Dear Sir,

My presentation for the Rolling Budget is as under,

    Current Year Next Year
    Q1 Budget – Q1 Actual – Q2 Budget – Q3 Budget – Q4 Budget- Total Q1

This format does not match with ACCA Solved answers. Kindly advise whether this format is acceptable.
ACCA Solved answer has done Total of Q1 Actual + Q2 Budget + Q3 Budget + Q4 Budget
While I have done total of Budget (Q1 + Q2 + Q3+Q4)- Which one is correct way of presentation !

    Kindly advise

    Deep

In continuation of the above, my purpose of asking this is in case of Rolling budget is that whether after Q1 stage whether actual Q1 replaces Q1 budget drafted earlier.

you can do it in this way but you will have to write a lot in this presentation….i think saving time will be better so go for examiner’s style …..secondly the actual results replace the budgets . you are right about that…..in question the actual results of Q1 were available and they became the base of the budget…after Q2 end their results will be available and they will become the base i.e. you will inflate Q2 actual results by lets say 3% , if the growth rate predicted is 3% even after Q2
