1st exam (and penultimate) that I have struggled to finish! Didn’t see that coming either, 3BL rubbish. I was relying on the narrative question too! Other 2 options were OK though, 9 out of 18 was quite achievable for both.

paper was as tough as expected , management buyout question was almost copy of bpp kit question, but time was not enough , it was too lengthy. examiners should consider of increasing atleast half an hour more

too hard to complete paper in the given time. q1 is fair as compare to past papers.
q2 was also time consuming ….in req fall nd incrase both asked instead of a single req
q3 was so easy and also not time consuming but I feel req b was little difficult
q4…my friend attempted not me nd he said it is just like vanilla flavoured ice cream
q5 was on tbl. very nfamiliar topic for p4 students so easy ..nt time consuming…..but few students know what is tbl…overall paper was same as compare to last attempt easy but time consuming. .which makes it hard…
in the end I want to say that I hate vanilla flavoured ice cream

The general consensus is that time is a limiting factor to which I endorse. The paper was a challenging one…Question 1 in particular took some time to evaluate. I would like to know however if within question 1 part a. the evalution of the decision to stop the production of the X-IT immediately required a Black Scholes calculation since what I understood was that the decision could be one to abandon which is akin to a put option and would need a Black Scholes evaluation. ANY ONE INTERPETED THIS ALSO????

i thought p4 was challenging as always.Howevver i attempted all parts of the four questions Praying that i will pull through. last paper for me. Thanks to open tuition for the continued help. q5 was WHAT? TBL DID NOT ATTEMPT. Q2 nice question but made some errors. Q1 time consuming. Q3 and Q4 tricky.
A word of advice to persons wishing to attempt p4 next sitting. Start listening to open tuition lectures and course notes from now. dont waste time.December 6, 2011 at 11:55 pm #90918AnonymousInactive- Topics: 2

ANY ONE INTERPETED THIS ALSO????from my view we does not require to calculate BSOP as the information for BSOP is limited eg : no volatility available
by the way try to look at question name AVTO in the BPP Kit. the question is similar to thisDecember 7, 2011 at 3:06 am #90920AnonymousInactive- Topics: 0

questions were fair and topics pretty much expected as per articles on student accountant. i was happy through the reading time to see familiar areas being tested but Q1 took awful 2 hours of time…….. what should i expect now. quick scanning of my answer sheet towards the end gave me some hope of 50 marks though……. time pressure must be addressed by examiner…… i mean at this level what’s the use of including too much arithmetic just to consume time….. spread sheet is available at work……. c’mon examiner!
