    Hi
    The first question in the specimen for Sep 2018, is a consolidated SOFP asking to calculate goodwill after making adjustment for NCI ignored in original calculation, sale of stake and entries relating to Pension. The first question has only 30 marks, but it seems much easier than current version requiring lots of calculations.
    So what is your assessment for future P2 exams, they will be easier than current version with less calculation but requiring more writing skills like P3?

    Hi,

    The new exam will be no easier and no more difficult than the current one. It’s interesting to hear that you think it is easier as I’d have thought students would find it the other way round given there is less calculations.
