Dear Sirs/Madams
Would you like to tell me what application of three Kohlberg levels. What are the difference between level 1, level 2 and level 3?
Do all directors have social contract which show their responsibilities and their election period (usually 3 years) with company? If yes, is directors as social contract position?
Besides, does deep ecologist promote environmental issue in their position?
Your guidance is greatly appreciated. My e-mail address is honmeikc@yahoo.com.hk
Best Regards
Hon Mei Kuen

… not sure about the paper. It didn’t seem 2 b too difficult, not straightforward either though. As per my previous experience you never kow what the eximiner wants to hear. I chose questions 1,3,4. 1a seemed to me the most confusing – “explore the problems surrounding fuel tank produce and internal control measures. I read the q a few times, it wasn’t clear 2 me…
…re: Kohlberg, I don’t think there was any post-conventional moral reasoning. Kathy only sugested what was expected by a society and considered both options. If she was post-conventional, she would go for an ethical option and didn’t agree with the manufacturing of the cars that could kill…
2 months we have to wait, than we’ll see – good luck everyone…June 14, 2011 at 3:10 pm #79909I put Kathy at Stage 4 because of her comment about what society expect of them.
The CEO I put at stage 3 because he only cared what the shareholders thought
The other guy I put at stage 2 because he was only concerned for his own best interests (his bonus)
June 14, 2011 at 5:20 pm #79910The paper was easy but i did so poorly due to time management issues. Q1 i overshot by 15 minutes and the rest they say its history…..did Q3 and Q4 but did a very huge stupid mistake of misinterpreting “Public listed company” as Public sector and wrote the answers around this….only after i came back home and saw the article “Non corporate governance..issue Oct 2010” that it struck me what dimbat i have been to make such a grave error and losing marks!!! and just didnt have time to finish questions worth almost 12 marks….i doubt whether i will get thru…….I need to pray really hard for a pass… 🙁

What I have noticed in Acca Exams is that the Difficult/Surprising area within the paper is mostly in Q1 -Reason to Shoot the B.P up to 200 to create initial exam hype 🙂 however it usually is not worth more than 15 marks……..Many might disagree however I attempted the paper upside down…………
Q4- First
Q3- Second
Q2 – Did not even read it apart from the requirements
Q1 went as – D- First
C- Second
B- Third
A- Missed,it was better to miss Questions which create tumult as I
was always going to miss some other question worth those
marks but the one I would have answered better than Part A….
Just tried to collect 50 marks scattered through the paper……Hope Inshallah will Pass…………..But Guarantee <<>>
The nly problem I faced with this reverse approach was obviously time……………Reading time was spent whooly on Q1, Took 10 further Minutes to Read through Q3 & 4……Started off with pace……………………..with one hour remaining on the clock…..I had Half of the paper left to be attempted……………Q3 & Q4 were done in 2 Hours ………..but Q1 became a bit easier………or say my learning curve improved…………made the next 38 marks off the last hour………All i want is 50 .I can donate the 51st mark to whoever needs it :pJune 14, 2011 at 10:07 pm #79912Anonymous

I think the questions are not so much difficult, but I just still couldn’t complete it. In q1, point d, I haven’t attempted it. For AGM and EGM, I didn’t prepared to learn this part.

@tzxsean said:
James Tsakos – pre conventional stage 2 : clearly bcos of self interest
bonus based on profit partlyKathy Yao – when she follow orders of Tsakos, she is in stage 1 of pre conven
scared of punishment from Tsakoswhen she suggest universal recall…it’s post conven stage6 driven by self ethical principle
Finance director- I argue either stage 2 bcos he oso benefit from bonus or stage 6 as his own ethical principle is tat shareholder’s wealth is most important
I think that James might on stage1 because he is afraid of financial loss as “punishiment”. if there wasn’t that financial director who focus on directors pay, i would say James is on stage2, but the fact is that financial directors is more like on stage2.
kathy is obivously stage3, for that her decision is to satisify public’s claim in order to survive, rather than driven by ethical value.
and for Q(a) I would say the first part of question is more like a P3 question about project management, and the following part I write about features of a sound internal control system. but after exam i realised there might be something about agency relationship and problem i could write about…..any way feel much better that everyone think that is more about internal control.;p

CEO & FD ==> Pre – Convential
Kathy ==> ConventialThe only tricky part is if you assume that CEO is acting on what third parties(shareholders) want him to do, thus you may say that he is Convential. However this is just an assumption

June 15, 2011 at 4:03 pm #79918I thought I had done enough to pass but as soon as they collected the papers, I realised I screwed up by stating the 5 COPIC ethics rather than the threats, self review, advocacy etc.
Am kicking myself for that and am resigned to having to take a retake.June 15, 2011 at 6:21 pm #79919Anonymous
