Eligibility Questions

Hi,

I was just reading through the BSc requirements, and it said that the minimum academic entry requirements for registering on the BSc degree are two A levels plus three GCSE’s in five separate subjects. Although I have this, I did my GCSE’s about 25 years ago (the first year they came out!), and I don’t have any record or proof of them. I don’t even remember who the examining body was. However, do Oxford Brookes ask for proof of GCSE’s and A levels, or is this something I needn’t worry about?

i have passed 9 Acca papers including P1 but i have hard luck when it comes to F9 i have attempted it 4 times now.only recently i heard that i can still submit project in OBU based on the fact that i have attempted f9 regardless of passing it.i just wanted to know if it is possible?

I m an ACCA student. Can anybody please tell me that which papers will be shown on the transcript of B.sc (hons) ?? Will it be the ACCA papers from f4 to f9 or any other papers?? Thanks

I just wanna know if I am still eligible to do obu degree if i passed my f7 r and f9 before f4. I’m doing f4 for this sem and hopefully if i got through the paper. ..I planned to do obu after tht…but now I wanna be sure whether I’m still eligible or not…I have opt to obu even the time I register for acca. Need advise 🙂

I just got an email frm acca itself. ..saying tht if I have already passes my f7 _ f9 prior to f4, my obu eligibility will be withdrawn it seems. Sad.

as per the requirement u need to opt for obu after passing F4 and before sitting for any of f7,8,9 However u contact to ACCA to guide u in this regard.

But its clear, you have to pass F4 before passing F7, F8 and F9. In other words you pass F7,F8, or F9 before F4 then you are not eligible for this Degree.

I would like to inform all students who are thinking of undertaking the OBU degre that paper F4 will only be acceptable as a proof of English language proficiency till June 2014. After that ACCA will look only to the external qualifications.

This also means that the rule of sitting F4 after F7-F9 is no longer applicable after June 2014.

If you have opted in for the OBU degree (you do this via myacca) before taking the F7, F8 and F9, then you will be eligible to take the degree. It doesn’t matter in which order you sit the papers, as long as you complete F4 before F7-F9 papers, which you have.

Hi 5hr3wd. I am not sure I understand your question.

Student who pass F4 in the past and in June 2014 can claim this paper to be their proof of English proficiency in order to be eligible for the OBU degree. The student must pass F4 before F7-F9 paper. If not, the student won’t be eligble for OBU degree.

From December 2014, the students can only prove their English proficiency with external qualifications only. The condition is that they provide their language certificates to ACCA BEFORE PASSING F7-F9. If not, again, the student is no longer elibigle for OBU.

that’s right. the new change won’t affect the students who already completed F4 and are eligible for OBU degree.
