While calculating NCI share of profit we deduct the FV depreciation , Impairment and PURP but why are we not adding the increase in the FV of a property or a building as that profit relates to NCI also so just want to know why we are subtracting the depreciation but not adding the increase in fair value.
The increase in fair value does not impact profit or loss, and so we would not include it within the calculation for the NCI share of profit or loss. There is no profit as there is no gain made outside of the group, it is just a group adjustment to the face of the statement of financial position.
Thanks
